We spent our holidays there for the second time. First of all the location is great, everything is in perfect condition. A short drive away you can visit the best baroque cities of Sicily and nice beaches. Of course Marina di Ragusa is an holiday spot but nothing is dressy, Italy is authentic in this corner. The owner of the property is relaxed and so is also - perhaps the greatest plus of this location - Vincenzo who takes care of everything and is the heart of this place. Always there when you need him, never intrusive, listening to classic music and owning a superb motorcycle.
I can really highly recommend this place.
We arrived in Sicily during a heat wave with temperatures as high as 46C. The bedrooms all had effective air conditioning and the swimming pool was wonderful. The pool is huge with plenty of loungers and seats. the bedrooms are spacious with everything you might need including white linen and towels. We only used the outdoor kitchen which was well supplied with large cooking utensils for a crowd. We tried the pizza oven on a couple of occasions, a fun activity for the family. The villa is in the countryside but we were able to visit Modica,Noto, Syracuse and Scicli to name a few. There is an excellent restaurant on the doorstep which was very good value. Most of all our host was very kind, keeping the pool and garden tidy and pouring gifts of fruit, herbs and homemade goodies on us. Thank you!
One of the best places in Italy. Very atmospheric. And best of all, everything is within walking distance, from the delicious typical Sicilian breakfast to the delicious dinner. You must visit Scicli in August because of the Taranta Sicily Fest.
Villa Camaratinni is a family oriented villa in South Sicily with great facilities, well situated in the hills near the Baroque towns of Modica, Ragusa and Noto with great access to other seaside towns and cities like Syracuse. Superb modern rooms with air conditioning and cooking facilities. Recommend excursions to the many nearby towns where the nightlife, entertainment and food allow for plenty of joyful experiences. Well designed, new, on the ocean, beautiful view. Fenced remote gate. Interior contemporary, air conditioned. Cross the street and your on sand. Quiet street. Screens! Off shore breeze every night. Air conditioning not needed.
We stayed at Villa Cammaratini from April 24 till May 3d 2017 with two families of each 5 persons. Children in the age of 1 year untill 14 years of age.
We absolutely loved our stay here. The villa is situated in a beautiful part of the country side. Lots of nice places within 1 hour drive from the villa, or a trip to the beach if you want. The villa, which consists of various seperate buildings, is build and equipped with a lot of details and of high level of quality. It's fully equipped with facilities, everything you can think of is available. There is a spacious garden with a fantastic outdoor kitchen with a wood oven, stove, frigde, etc. And the owner, Giorgio, is very friendly and comes by almost every day to make sure everything is ok, to bring vegetables from his own garden and helps if needed (even to order en deliver pizzas at the villa from the nearby pizzeria), a lovely host.
We can highly recommand this lovely villa!
Scicli is a great place to visit for a few days and Case Vacanze Pomelia is a quirky and fun place to stay. It's perched on the side of a steep valley and the apartment is cut into the hillside. There is no direct road access but there is plenty of free parking nearby. It is really quiet and the town centre is just five minutes away. The lady we met when we first arrived was really helpful telling us about be best places to eat etc in the area
