The hotel is in great shape, the pool is beautiful and the food is great. We ate at the restaurant each time on purpose just for the great food and the great staff. I had to come all the way from Canada just to find the best possible staff you could ask for at a hotel. The owner is a great guy, he's always around, always looking to help out customers. The owner (Fotis) and many of the other staff had to deal with many annoying groups from elsewhere. They handled it with pure patience and professionalism. I would have lost it at those groups due to how annoying, rude and demanding they were. They think they can run over the hotel just because they come from money. It was truly amazing to watch the staff in action, the owner did a great job hiring them. The front desk (particularly Faye and Seila I believe) were outstanding. They set up everything for us, including giving us a nicer room just because we were nice to them. It was amazing customer service. You treat them with respect, you get it in return. The waitresses are also terrific, very helpful and simply down to earth people (Madalena, Efi). No one should ever be disappointed with this hotel, the staff and food truly make it a great experience. Thanks to all them, especially Fotis (You truly know how to properly run a hotel).

Stay at this hotel.

The hotel is clean with spacious rooms, comfortable beds and reasonably priced meals. Breakfast, which was included in the price, offered an excellent variety. The staff were extremely helpful with directions, taxis, buses and advice. The views from the hotel and the pool area are beautiful and it is a short walk into the quaint village of Pyrgos.

The hotel staff, especially the woman at the main desk, went out of their way to do everything possible to make our stay as easy and memorable at possible - from giving directions, to calling taxis, and providing advice as to what attractions to see. We didn't leave until late afternoon so they provided a room to leave our luggage which had shower facilities and towels to use after spending the day at their wonderful pool.

I echo others who say that this hotel is as good as you can get and this is due to the staff who will do anything to help you have a relaxing holiday. The hotel is always clean and tidy both in public areas and the individual rooms. Food is very good and reasonably priced. The location is ideal and can see to and be seen from most of the island. Keep up the good work.

I can never understand people complaining about anything in this hotel. Anything you can expect was perfect. Staff eager to help and very friendly. Very clean rooms. It is located in the best position u can ever book in Santorini. Close to airport, close to Athinios Port and close to anywhere practically. The breakfast was very good and once you decide to eat form the restaurant in the evening, prices are very good with a magnificent view of the Caldera. no need to go to Oia or Fira to watch a magical sunset. Just stay by the pool while enjoying a delicious dinner while watching the sun set on the West side of the island. Well our 6-night stay was perfect. Some people may complain about its location so you would need a car or a bike to move around. I think anywhere you stay in Santorini you need a car or a bike as the bus service is not so reliable. I just can describe Orizonted Hotel & Villas with just one word.... PERFECT

This was our first visit to this beautiful island and decided to go for a central location so we could make the most of it everything it had to offer. Hotel Orizontes is perfect for this and whilst we did walk along some pretty dicey road paths to get to a couple of locations we utilised the local bus service (slightly hit and miss), taxis and quad bike rental for everything else. Thinking you could walk everywhere would have been naive on our part.

The staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful. (We booked through a hotel finder website too). The reception staff could not have done more in our need to book restaurants, call taxis, borrow an iron or even extend our quad bike rental and they always greeted us with a friendly "hello".

Our room was described as a garden view (which basically meant it didn't have much of a view) but we didn't mind as the website gave an accurate image of the room. The breakfasts were diverse in offering croissants, fried breakfast, fresh melon, yogurts, fresh bread and jam so were spoilt for choice. The pool was wonderful too.

Whilst reading through other comments we found that we didn't experience any of the negativeness mentioned and we would be delighted to return (to either Hotel Orizontis or Pyrgos Palace) and have already recommended it to our parents for their next holiday.

Room Tip: Organise a mode of transport to see the island. We did 3 days poolside and walking to nearby Pyrgos...
