“Best B&B ever”
Reviewed 17 January 2014

We stayed for two nights and wish it could have been longer. Pauline and Les could not have been better hosts so welcoming and ensuring our stay was fantastic. The room was cosy and clean with everything we needed. Had an excellent nights sleep followed by a fabulous breakfast.
Carmel is a quiet village so your nights sleep is not disturbed with local pubs your can walk to. Close to the A55 there is easy access to local attractions by car.
Would absolutely recommend a stay if you are visiting North Wales

What a fantastic little B&B this is - a hidden gem. Rooms are cosy and very comfortable - and the owners go out of their way to make sure that you are happy. Food is excellent - and always served with a smile no matter what time you eat whether its early morning or late evening. The porridge is very good - (can highly recommend it - jumbo oats make all the difference)..... Well worth every penny and far lovlier than many a hotel that I have stayed in over the years. Would definitely stay there again and would advise anyone that is looking for a base to explore North Wales to check in here rather than an impersonal hotel- You will be very well looked after! :-)

Best B&B I've ever stayed in .... Made a nice change from my usual Prem##r Inn box!
Very friendly, but not over-attentive; very clean and well-equipped room - I slept very well.
My somewhat unusual breakfast requirement (porridge oats with cold milk) was eagerly catered for too!
I just wish I'd remembered to book an evening meal as it seems I missed out on a gem.

Room Tip: State your height when booking, as some rooms have low doorways!

Ha yes the low doorways can be a problem but luckily the rooms all have high ceilings - just remember to 'duck' as go into the rooms. Must admit the raw porridge was a first in 10 years but we seem to learn something new everyday. Hope to see you again if you are back this way for business or pleasure.

I stayed here for one night on a fleeting visit to see a friend in the area . I found Celyn Villa to be clean and comfortable and had a great nights sleep ... Only wish I could've stayed longer in bed as the bed was very comfy ! Had lovely homemade marmalade for breakfast and found the owners welcoming and helpful .

We stayed here for one night in September, the hosts and food were fantastic, it was so lovely to arrive after a long days travelling to be offered tea and the most amazing chocolate cake. We had a lovely evening meal as well. The room was large and spacious, with a very comfy bed. There were fab tea and coffee making facilities including hot chocolate and extra biscuits. We were disappointed to leave and hope to return soon

We have just finished our third stay at Celyn Villa and we will certainly stay again. The accommodation is charming, the food is superb and the hosts, Paulene and Les are most welcoming. They are warm, humorous and go out of their way to make sure that you have a really good time.
