Visited the Mont Sant hotel following a reccomendation that an excellent lunch was served.
The terrace was deserted at 1430, despite the lovely weather. We asked our waitress -Sala- if we could get a table out there and she obliged, in fact nothing was too much trouble for this lady. Starters were artichoke for my companion and brochette of prawns for me. The artichoke was served with a delicious Iberian ham and was cooked to perfection. Likewise, my prawns came in a crispy breadcrumb and served with a perfect tomato based sauce.
Mains were Veal served with an orange sauce and entrecôte steak. I have to say the steak was one of the best I have had, melt in the mouth delicious. All washed down with an ice cold white Rioja. Yum! Price? 86 Euros - about average, I guess, but well worth it.
Give it a try if you are in the area, but get an outside table if the weather is good - the views are spectacular. By the way, don't forget that the Spanish don't generally eat until 1400, so it may not be open before then.More
