If you are doing a wine trip this is the place to stop for lunch - amazing. For 230R we had a tasting luncheon with matching wines.
We had beautiful warm home baked bread for an appetiser served with prawns and a lovely mildly spicy eggplant dip. Then for entree we had a choice and I selected a beautiful arancini stuffed with mozzarella, eggplant and cherry tomatoes served with a rich tomato sugo. For mains we also had a choice and I opted for this beautiful cannelloni stuffed with slow cooked beef and a rich tomato sugo. For dessert we were served a decadent trifle withy coconut flan, mouse and to finish fresh pineapple - light and delightful!
The wines included Malbec, Sauvignon blanc, rose and finally a champagne - all matched perfectly with the meals. The service was fantastic, friendly, prompt and informative. Nothing was too much trouble. We then did the wine tour which was brilliant, the chef took us !! He spoke perfect English was light hearted and friendly. We went and actually tasted the wines by serving ourselves through a pouring vat.
We tasted a rose and two different malbacs. The tour then went through where the wines are kept and then how they make the olive oil. This was super interesting, as the chef explained the three different types of olive oil and which ones he uses in his meals and why.
We got to taste them all then you could fill up your own bottle and add herbs to it for 50 peso's! Such a great gift. When we left they gave us a small gift of an olive oil soup each - a very sweet touch. You will not be disappointed!
