It was nice welcome in the evening.... Had a nice buffet at the dinner... Little bit upset when I got to know that there was a crocodile in the pond.... I told them to advice when people arriving in to the hotel to have an extra care... Except that all good.. Had a nice breakfast packet for the safari....

Staying 2 nights at Hibiscus Garden Hotel was a real pleasure. The rooms - small bungalows - were lovely, the location is stunning. Embedded in a beautifully maintained, yet wilde little park, a real effort is taken to maintain the beauty of the spot.
Food was excellent and there was quite some attention for each individual guest.

We would certainly warmly recommend the hotel and its service-minded and friendly staff !

A nice small hotel with bungalows.
The service was excellent . So was the food also.
It was free wifi in the restaurant.
The garden was very nice, and with small pool and sunbeds.
It was a crocodile in the water and wild animals around and in hotel area. When we came back to our bungalow one night, we had a turtle at our frontdoor.

Two nights stay to visit Yala. The hotel is very quiet and relaxed with bungalows laid out around the pool and gardens. Gardens are superb with great views and plenty of birds and other wildlife. Rooms were simple but comfortable. Bar/restaurant was on the (open) upper floor with pleasant views across pool and countryside. Wifi access very poor even in main building. Breakfast good with local fare, eggs cooked to order and dinner buffet had reasonable choice (for size of place) and was good (although could be hotter). Second day lower occupancy meant limited al a carte menu: we all opted for the curry and received the most delicious Sri Lankan banquet with many side dishes - one of our most enjoyable meals of the trip. Staff excellent with great service throughout.

Room Tip: Unless you want to overlook pool (numbers 1-16 in blocks of 4) go for one with views over the countr...

This hotel/resort is situated away from the main road. This leads to a quiet atmosphere. The rooms are arranged bungalow style with two rooms per bungalow. My room had a nice bed (fairly stiff) and a bathroom. The room has a fan, A/C, and kettle. There is no safe, mini-fridge or TV in the room I had. The restaurant was nicely located on the 2nd floor of the main building in an open air environment. For dinner, I ordered a la carte some tomato soup, club sandwich, and lime and soda. For breakfast, I had the buffet which included a selection of made-to-order eggs, sausage, bacon, toasts, fruits, and other misc treats. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying here. I would if I am back in the area.

Nice hotel in the middle of a peacefull enviroment. Excellent breakfast, diner and good beds. It is nice to compare a visit to this hotel with a visit to Yala national park or one of the many sacred places of budhism.

Very happy with our stay here. Clean, well equipped rooms and bathrooms, good food although less authentic than other hotels we have stayed in during our tour of Sri Lanka, nice pool, wifi. Staff a little reserved. Would stay again.
