A group of us stayed here during our work at the CSN steel mill in Volta Redonda (CSN owns the hotel). The Bela Vista sits up on a hill with good views of the city (and the steel mill). Looks pretty from the outside, but the hotel is outdated, with few "modern" amenities. There is an "old" section and a "new" section of the hotel. Some of us stayed in the old section, but the new section might still have been 20 years old. Rooms are sparse, i.e two small twin beds that were short for even me at 5'-8". Lighting in the rooms is poor, with no bedside lamps. The hotel does have Wi-Fi, but signals are only good in specific places, i.e. we had to sit in the hall, on the stairs or out in front of the hotel for it to work. One good point is that the restaurant does a wonderful job. Breakfast, lunch and dinner (from the menu or a buffet) provide a wide assortment of salads, soups, entrees, and desserts, all very nicely prepared and laid out. Delicious and fresh local fruits and vegetables.
