We found this hidden gem en route to Povence after venturing off the toll road (yet again) in seach of somewhere to sleep. As usual had left it later than planned.
First impressions- so tempting, flower covered and lit by sun.
We found it to be typically French, traditionally furnished but with quite uncluttered bedrooms and very smart and modern bathrooms
The food in the restaurant was excellent. We had the regional menu along with good wine. Breakfast was slightly underwhelming after the dinner but nevertheless fine
I'd love to return one day and would certainly recommend for a night or two

We did our usual when driving to the Alps - start looking for an hotel at 8pm! Well, we were very lucky to find this little gem. The room was fine with a TV, but no coffee making facilities (not a massive factor). The en-suite bathroom was roomy and clean with a powerful shower.

We ate in the restaurant and each enjoyed a very good meal, with a couple of bottles of local wine (Paul Baudet, which was inexpensive, but great for quaffing after a long day in the driving seat!). The waittress was attentive and helpful. When we checked out the next morning the proprietor was very friendly. We shall certainly stay here again.

Good family run Hotel

Rooms in the old part of the hotel are a bit basic and could do with modernisation, the newer rooms are fine. Food is great and there is plenty of parking (see photos ). I have stayed hear 3 times in the last 5 years and will haply return.

We stopped three nights on the way to Switzerland, the food was very french as you would expect and local the wine list very good. there was a very good pool we just not have the time to use it as we where exploring every day. the staff were very attentive and looked after us very well. the hotel is in the abbaye buildings and has a lot of the old qaint charm of the era. we would stop there again without question. jag21traveller

An excellent hotel good rooms swimming pool Very good traditional french food friendly staff pleasant location, reasonably priced. We normally stay in Dijon but the hotel we got to was full so we were dissapointed however if toyou know the road between Dijon and Troyes you will know what lovely countrydide you drive through and this hotel is only about 20 mins from Dijon. A real find and thoroughly reccommended

Very nice little hotel. Our room on the first floor overlooked the courtyard. No noise from the road at all. My only criticism is the very soft mattress. Our evening meal in the restaurant was very good and priced reasonably at Euro 24. Breakfast too was very good. Internet is free and very fast. We highly recommend this establishment.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the ground floor. It is then likely to a very large room (usually for wheel-chair...

We stayed here en route to Switzerland as a cheaper alternative to hotels south of Dijon. The room was really good and so was the service. The only problem came with the meal, all courses of which turned up just too quickly. Both main courses were unmistakably just overdone and the service turned distinctly brisk. Our treatment was okay but a single German girl got a very chilly reception which we found both unnecessary and unprofessional. The white wines in particular are excellent.
A cheaper and almost as good alternative, with a rustique menu, can be found a few yards down the road at the Auberge Campagnarde.

Room Tip: I imagine all are good.
