We have visited now for 5 years and look forward to returning again to the unique charms of Le Clos du Lethe. It has all the delight of a private home with a most charming host. The rooms are copious and every comfort is provided.

Every detail is perfect, from the studied wildness of the garden and the peaceful, green view over the pool and the fields and hills to the incredible contemporary art collection and especially the beds. The custom-made linen bedding, endlessly large beds and perfect pillows made for one of the most restful nights we've ever had. The tranquility of the environment and perhaps the age old stones that have been lovingly restored must add to the calm and contribute to such a restful, luxurious stay. The breakfast, which we had on the lovely covered terrasse just off the kitchen, is a perfect mix of buttery crisp pastries and breads with mouth-watering, unusual jams and a freshly made "mousse de fromage blanc". It's all as delicious as it sounds. Thanks to Pierre and Benoit, who are wonderful hosts that make you feel like you are sharing their home (a very beautiful one!). This will be one of our regular getaways.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are gorgeous, with different themes and feels. L'Africaine has its own private...

Enticing and seductive from the start. Clearly a lot of careful attention has been given to creating an atmosphere of charm and seduction for maximum tranquility. The scented garden, beautiful pool and quiet environment contained by the perfect style of the rooms, lounges and buildings. Will certainly become a repeat visitor.

A stylish converted farmhouse set in a wild garden (do not expect manicured lawns). The attention to detail in the high spec rooms, and elsewhere, is superb. Pierre is a helpful, attentive and knowledgeable host. Breakfasts were definitely worth getting up for with freshly baked goodies. Check out the pool after dark - you may be star struck! Uzes is 10 min drive, is a pretty and bustling market town with a multitude of eateries to suit all tastes and pockets. (See also review on L'Artemise restaurant - same ownership).

I have reviewed Le Clos previously and make no apology for doing so again. We travel a lot but return here at least once a year to recharge and experience something really special. In an age of corporate blandness, here you can find tranquility and peace in an environment of natural beauty enhanced by true style. This is a place to escape, pampered by real luxury in an atmosphere of taste and discretion. Enjoy the comfort of the rooms, the collection of modern art, the hammam and gym, the beautiful pool and the indulgent breakfasts. Allow Pierre, the owner, to point you towards the finest gems of restaurants hidden away in which to dine. Come once and I promise you'll come again.

We have visited le Clos several times now and it is always a much anticipated holiday. The quiet pool with the oleanders dipping, the delicious breakfasts, the charm and warmth of the host, and the unique artistic decor of the rooms all combine to ensure a relaxing and tranquil stay. Enormous beds, art all around, a gym, a steam room... This is a beautiful home in a beautiful location and thoroughly recommended.

A beautiful converted property in a little hamlet in Languedoc Rousillon. The owner Pierre works very hard to make your stay a delightful one. He is there every morning at breakfast serving up beautifully fresh pastries and jams. You can tell that he is trying to provide the sort of hotel experience that he himself would like to have. Loved the decor in our beautifully large suite. Great to have computer for Internet in our room and wifi around the pool. Loved having access to the gym too. Complimentary Evan and backlit in the rooms. Lovely pool area to relax. My only comment would be that our room was very warm indeed and air con not as effective as it could be, we could have used a fan. Ate at Pierre's restaurant which is recommended, albeit hard to find. Lovely to stay in a place child free! Highly recommended.
