A small visitor centre with a very interesting exhibition and a huge area of open grounds with lots of buildings and old machinery.
The industrial history of this place is well explained. It is wonderful that these historical places are conserved and maintained for future generations to visit, and to learn how things were done in the old days.
The visitor centre has a small cafe and a few interesting items for sale.

I visited this place with my kids for their school topic. The place is small but filled to the brim with information and artefacts to look at. The tour guides are friendly and full of knowledge. A must for history lovers.

The kids enjoyed playing with the toys and interesting objects on offer in the visitor centre they also liked jumping about on the old trains and looking at the beam engine asking lots of questions. A great place to spend a few hours with the kids.
