My wife and I recently spent four nights at the Melian Boutique Hotel and Spa. For three of the nights, we stayed in the Honeymoon Suite. While both rooms were great, the Honeymoon Suite included a huge patio with deck chairs, tables and a hot tub overlooking the bay (the smaller room also had a smaller patio, hot tub a great view). The hotel manager and staff were helpful with respect to making restaurant recommendations and beaches to visit (there are over 70) and the manager even made some recommendations as to neighborhoods to visit at our next stop, Athens. We felt very well taken care of by the staff who obviously take a lot of pride in their hotel. We learned that the hotel is family run and that the son has brought his experience working in large cities all over the world to Melian making it stand out over other hotels on the island.

We enjoyed the hotel services and the lovely decor which is a great mix of traditional greek styling and modern art. We ordered room service multiple times and had great food. The included breakfast is very good, but we recommend upgrading (at a cost of about 2 euros) to an omelette instead of plain eggs. Few if any hotels in Milos have spa services and room service so this was a nice plus.

The bathroom was well appointed with double sinks, a nice shower and a nice product selection. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well. The bed covers were a bit thin - a thicker option in the closet would have been nice. The house cleaning staff did a thorough job and the rooms and patio were spotless.

The hotel is a quick walk to the fishing village of Pollonia with several dining options, an ATM and a general store. The view from the rear of the hotel is lovely as well. The hotel is a bit difficult to find from the road with no clear sign so keep your eyes opened for "Salt" and it is right next door. Parking is on the street but easily found with no parking issues.

On our last day the hotel learned our flight was not until 5:00 so they volunteered for us to keep the room until that time which allowed us to really enjoy our last day with a home base. A very nice touch.

We would absolutely stay again - fantastic experience.

My husband and I just returned from a 9 day vacation in Greece where we spent 3 nights at the Melian Hotel. Those ended up being the best 3 days of our trip! The hotel itself is so beautiful and every morning we got to wake up to the sound of the ocean outside our window. The beach it is located on is gorgeous and has a really relaxed and local vibe.
The rooms themselves are very pretty and fresh. We stayed in room 115 which has a nice terrace that faces out over the ocean. The bathroom is really clean and spacious, especially for Greece. The rooms were serviced regularily and they did a great job tidying everything up and always having our room look spotless.
The real gem of the property is the people who work there. We initially met Georgia and George in the evening who were very helpful and informative. The next morning we had the pleasure of meeting Anestis. I think he owns the property with his family. He takes real pride in what he does and is so nice and accomodating. He helped us arrange a rental car (and then found us an even more competitive rate!) and then showed us where to go and what to see on a map. He is so informative and you can see he really has a passion for the hotel and for his guests to enjoy the island. The second day, he booked us on an awesome boat tour of Milos (you MUST do this if you go... its the only way to see some super cool beaches), and the last day he even called the rental car people personally to arrange for us to drop the car off at the airport for our convenience. He is so incredibly accomodating and nice that me and my husband took a picture with him on our last day so we'll always remember him.
Milos is amazing, Pollonia is an adorable town, and the Melian is outstanding. We are already dreaming of returning!!

Room Tip: 115 has a great view

A wonderful little, laid back hotel in a picturesque fishing village. It's simple and clean and luxurious all in one hit. First we stayed in the honeymoon suite which had the most glorious veranda that we found hard to leave. But the Superior Room did not disappoint as again it had a terrace with the most beautiful views. But most extraordinary was the service. Again and again Anestis and his wonderful female colleague (who's name I'm not sure I ever got!) organised boat trips, ferry connections and flight advice, as well as comprehensive plans of how to best spend our time in Athens (which was our next leg). Last but not least, the breakfasts were just delicious - featuring the very best yogurt and honey we've ever eaten. And we've done the rounds. We'll be back!

Great location. The accommodations were very good. The breakfasts were wonderful.
The management and the staff were quite professional. George in particular was very
friendly and very helpful. When we return to Milos, I would certainly stay here again.

Back again after 3 years at Melian Hotel for a stay of 2 weeks in June 2013 and leaving room 111 with a wonderful feeling a joy and satistaction.
A great Boutique and Spa Hotel with all comfort and luxury situated at the small, quiet and picturesque village of Pollonia where you can take the boat to Kimolos.
Congratulations to the hotel owner Mr. Ioannis Anestis for his management and for running this hotel in such a splendid way.
Lots of thanks and appreciation for the profesionalisme and the way of intercommunication of Melian staff. Always friendly, correct and ready when information, help or support was needed.
Special thanks to Georgina and Ann who were amazing.
Our penthouse superior room, triple one, was very spacious and so clean. The beds have a very good and high quality mattress, we slept heavily. Cleaning staff is performing a wonderful job. There is satellite television, wifi, you name it...We had a very spacious balcony / terras with an amazing view on the small bay and a couple of deckchairs.
The bathroom with a very good functioning shower, accomodated with personal slippers, bathrobe, and the full gamma of Korres products, so good. Nothing to complain, just perfect.
You also have to try the wellness center and ask for a massage, this is really heaven.
Breakfast was served on the common terras but could also be used on your private terras if wanted. Diversified delicious breakfast served in no time with delicious bread, croissants, fresh orange juce, very good coffee, and the home made cakes.
Summarizing Melian Boutique and Spa hotel is saying : feeling so good, amazing good, enjoying, relaxing, zen, and for sure coming back for a third time.
I will add some more photos giving a good impression.
Geertv and his wife from Belgium.

Room Tip: All rooms are very good.

My wife and I have just thoroughly enjoyed a week at the Melian, our room was ready as soon as we arrived and WOW,what a room.My wife had booked this holiday as a Christmas 2012 present for me as a special treat, she booked a superior room which turned out be more than we could have wished for,we were on the ground floor(103)just around the corner from the hotels terrace and plunge pool,we had our own large terrace with lovely sunset views, with a large comfortable bed and it was very private.
We enjoyed the lovely breakfast which was delivered to our terrace every day whilst sitting just a few meteres from the sea, very relaxing. All of the staff were excellent, and special thanks to Georgia and George for our evening chats, particularly George for our football talks,we both hope you find work for the winter on the mainland.
Milos itself is a lovely unspoilt island where a car is essential to appreciate the scenery and pretty little beaches, the Melian arranged our car hire for 5 days,an almost new little Hyundai which served us very well, particularly on some of the narrower tracks to some beaches.
The village of Pollonia is just a few minutes walk from the hotel and is very quaint,a few taverna's and cafes line the far end of the beach mostly serving traditional Greek food next to the waters edge.A must see place if you hire a car is the hilltop town of Plaka,it is a very pretty traditional Greek town with whitewashed houses and stunning views, its about 15 - 20 minutes drive from Pollonia. If you are looking for a very peaceful beach but still with a few facities, try Polychronis beach just around the corner from Pollonia,we only discoved it 2 days before were due to leave, but we had a very relaxing day here, there is a small beach bar(Ya Banaki)that plays very chilled out low volume music whilst you doze off on the sunbed, also there is a small toilet there, very convenient, the beach is sandy water is shallow and excellent views of Pollonia itself, and Kimolos Island, all in all a very relaxed place to chill.
