My mom and I drove here from Skaftafell in May 2013. It was a long car ride, but the scenery was beautiful. We had great fun driving across one lane bridges, speeding around sharp turns that provided spectacular views, and driving on our only patch of gravel road. Finding the B&B proved to be a bit of a challenge. I didn't pay attention to exactly where it was and we drove around the town a bit. We were the only patrons staying there that night, but a few people were eating at the tavern. We had a great conversation with the young woman working in the tavern. She served us a yummy pizza and told us a lot about the local area. It was an eyeopening talk. I really enjoyed this B&B. I liked the decorations in the tavern and in our room. The room and in-suite bathroom were clean and the perfect size. We were on our own for breakfast of cold meats, cheeses, and cereal, but they explained everything the night before so we were 100%. And the breakfast was very yummy. If you are looking for a place to say in the east, you should stop here. However, keep this in mind... You are staying above the tavern and the steps are a bit steep. My memories of my mom taking her suitcase up those steps is one of my favorites!
