“Great Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 April 2014

I stayed here for one night as I was working in the area. Charlie and Mairead were welcoming , friendly and so helpful with knowledge of the local area. I had directions to the area I was working in next day and Mairead was able to give me even better directions with much better roads and they were spot on. We were made feel so welcome, the rooms are spotless, warm and I had a lovely view of the sea, oh and the rooms are soundproof so excellent nights sleep as no sounds from corridor or other parts of the hotel could be heard. We had dinner there that evening and it was excellent with good choice and very reasonably priced. The breakfast was lovely and served at the time we requested.
Hotel less than five minute walk form beautiful beach, area is a bit isolated but ideal for a relaxing peaceful stay with beautiful scenery and friendly people.

We stayed at the Beach Hotel in March and would really recommend it, Charlie and Maria made us more than welcome and were very friendly .The food was as good as it gets and to sum up....good old fashioned hospitality. We shall be back.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights B&B at the end of March to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. We booked this hotel on the great reviews on Tripadvisor and it was an excellent choice. We have stayed in numerous Donegal hotels over the years, including 4/5 star ones, but this was better than most of them. Charlie and Mairead were excellent hosts, friendly and chatty. Eddie was also a real asset to the hotel behind the bar, apologies for keeping you up late ! Room 206 was great, lots of room, ocean views and comfy seating. Breakfast was freshly cooked (No corporate hotel hotplate buffets here, and thank god for it) and was superb both mornings, served in a really nice restaurant. We'd never been to this part of Donegal before, but after seeing/walking some of the stunning beaches we'll be back. This hotel was superb - there was a hotel inspector staying whilst we were here - we felt sorry for her- she was wasting her time staying here !! Sorry we missed you Charlie on checking out, see you again soon. Norman & Ashley. Co. Down.

Room Tip: Even number rooms seem to have the ocean views which is at the rear of the hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights b&b and 1 evening meal. Charlie and Mairaid made us feel very welcome on arrival and offered local knowledge and weather forecasts during our stay. The whole hotel was spotless, bright and warm, the food was great and the staff were excellent. Looking forward to returning with friends.

Stayed in this Hotel for two nights. Really good. On check in, my room was very warm, not cold like May hotels after check in. The room was large, with sea views, and spotless. I felt relaxed as soon as I entered.
I had bar food which was very good, and fantastic value. It's a family run hotel and feels newly built. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. The bar has a log fire burning to enhance the cosy feel of this hotel.
Location is in the middle of this beautiful village, in north west Donegal. Will stay there again for sure.
