We had read the name of the inn in a guide and liked the look when we arrived so booked our last night in Cape Breton here. We had an excellent dinner with excellent service in the restaurant. The waitress made helpful suggestions and although we had to remind her for the wine the service was otherwise efficient and pleasant. Our room was comfortable and clean. The buffet breakfast was excellent with very friendly staff and chef. I have nothing but good things to say about our stay so I am glad I had not read some of the very negative reviews. I give credit to the owners who have replied to the criticism and have made an effort to improve their service. I would recommend this hotel and restaurant and hope that the good experience we had will help reinstate the credibility of this beautiful inn.
