We stayed here for one night in September and the only negative thing to say is that we didn't stay longer. We stayed in the farmhouse which is 10 minutes from Lynton (by the sea) and itself is set in the middle of spectacular moorland. The farmhouse is reached down a long farm track. We turned off too early at the first property. Stay on the track and drive all the way to the bottom where an electric gate will open. The "reception" is straight ahead in the main building.

Our room itself was upstairs in the main house with the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, a separate living area and massive bathroom. The room included freeview tv and views over the grounds. The rooms don't have locks and neither does the front door which is worth noting but is completely in keeping with the relaxed atmosphere of the place.

Breakfast in the morning was served in the conservatory overlooking the grounds and the food was all locally sourced and absolutely brilliant. Coffee was freshly made and in a cafetiere which was a nice touch.

The facilities include a swimming pool but if you plan to use this please remember to bring your own towels.

The owners are lovely and couldn't do enough for us including offering to book dinner at local pubs.

We will definitely be visiting again in the future, we just need to decide when

My husband booked a night here as a surprise for our anniversary. It was the perfect retreat for me. Absolutely stunning surroundings. Ideal spot for walkers or anyone who just wants a quiet relaxing break. Richard was very friendly, great customer service. Delicious breakfast in the morning with beautiful views from the conservatory. The room was spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. With a pool for guests to use too it added that little bit extra. I highly recommend a visit, and wish we could have afforded to stay longer! Would very happily return.

Stayed two nights in August in the main house with room having a four poster bed which was extremely comfortable. Nicely appointed room with great views and good facilities. The farm is approached via a long single track road which although lacking in passing places did not cause us an issue as luckily we did not meet any oncoming traffic. Once you get to the farm which is entered through an electric gate there is a distinct lack of signage indicating where one should make oneself known to the owners. After knocking on doors with no reply we telephoned the farm and spoke to Richard to find where the entrance was. On the second day I was sitting in the lounge when another guest arrived and also appeared to have difficulty raising anyone after trying several of the entrances.
Don't be put off by the initial views as you walk in the front door to the main house which appears cluttered and you are met with a cluttered office / storeroom off the hallway.
Richard is obviously used to running through all the necessary guest information and very helpful in organising a table at local pubs / restaurants he can recommend. Upon returning on our first night we noticed that Jane was just inside by the front entrance but strangely enough dived for cover as we entered the building.
We did however meet Jane the following morning at breakfast which was extremely well cooked and presented and very enjoyable with the fantastic views from the conservatory.
All in all an enjoyable stay even with the initial problems of getting in and the lack of interaction with the owners. Although I would say Richard was very helpful even though he appeared to disappear into a black hole every now and again and it was difficult to raise anyone.

Room Tip: Go for the four poster with en suite which has great view and facilities

A beautiful spot and a friendly warm welcome. Homemade coffee cake on arrival and flapjacks in the room, yummy !!!
Richard informative and friendly. The room was comfortable, tastefully furnished and with plenty of storage with a beautiful Four poster bed. The en suite was roomy and the shower brill ! . Breakfast was lovely, only wish we could have stayed longer. Local pubs in the area were good as well. If you are looking for a peaceful break in beautiful surrounding we would highly recommend you pay Wilsham Farm a visit.

From the moment we arrived, felt comfortable & relaxed. Richard is a very warm & friendly host, & made us both feel welcomed. Beautiful place in stunning location. Room very comfortable & well laid out, homemade complimentary flapjack needs a mention, better than my Mums (Hope she dosent use trip adviser). Only regret is that we were unable to stay longer. Will definately be looking to visit again, to recharge batteries, & explore more of this amazing landscape.

We stayed at Wilsham for two nights in May - a great location with stunning views. Room was huge with a great 4 poster. Very clean and comfortable if a little dated. Breakfast was excellent - taken in the conservatory with a view that to match. Richard was a friendly and helpful host with information and advice on where to go etc. We eat in the small village of Brendon one night - the Stag Hunter. Nice meal in a traditional Devon atmosphere. If you like walking this is a great base or if you just want to get away from it all for some real peace and quiet it's perfect.
