Our twin room was clean and reasonably well appointed. The room was quite warm and had limited window ventilation. We could not leave the blind/curtains open (to help with ventilation) because our ground-floor window was only a few paces from the footpath/car park driveway; I did not want people looking in as we relaxed/slept. Attention to detail was lacking. No towels on arrival, but these were provided after asking. Uncontrollable shower spray and inadequate shower screen; the bathroom floor got unavoidably soaked. Very small screen television mounted too high up in the corner of the room and tilted upwards towards the ceiling. However, this was academic because the TV remote control was missing! The night was very uncomfortable because both the single mattresses were in poor condition. There was no padding or support and I could feel every spring in the open coil mattress. These mattresses should have been replaced a long time ago. Sleeping on top of the duvet provided some relief. At six o'clock in the morning, after a restless night, we were woken by cars on the noisy gravel driveway; probably staff arriving. Self-serve continental breakfast was adequate. Considering the price, I was disappointed to see that other breakfast items were extra.
