Perfect base to explore Northumberland.
My Fiance and I spent a week here while viewing potential wedding venues in the area. Lovely little cottage, equipped with everything you could want to unwind in the evening. Great kitchen and enjoyed evenings by the log burner.
Brilliant owner left a bottle of prosecco for us as I'd stated the nature of the visit when booking.
My Fiance spent the whole week saying "ooh, I like that!" as she was rather impressed with the interior decor!
Location Good , and very Clean front parking may be a little small area, but I had a R/rover, but this would not put me off to stay again,
Delightful little cottage in the heart of Wark, retaining lots of original features. The cottage is very well equipped, we particularly loved the log burning fire. The Grey Bull pub is 25 yards away and that is next door to the Black Bull, great food. But best of all is the Battlesteads Hotel 100 yards away, dog friendly, superb food and a must for any visitor to the village.
We had a lovely New Year break in this delightful and cosy cottage in a beautiful part of the country.
Especially loved the log burner and comfy bed with sumptuous bedding. A pleasant village with good local shops and pubs.
Don't miss out on a walk along the nearby river which is gorgeous!
Have recommended to our friends and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again when visiting that part of the country.
Lovely cosy cottage, perfect for couples wanting to relax, walk, cycle, fish etc. or visit the numerous attractions the area has to offer. A great base to visit Hadrian's wall, Kielder, Hexham, Cragside & Wallington Hall's to name just a few - all just a short distance away. Not to mention beautiful walks on your doorstep with the river banks just a two minute stroll away. The cottage is well equipped and has a great butcher and general shop literally on its doorstep -plus the added benefit of two village pubs serving good local food. One of which also has an observatory which you can book into to appreciate the dark sky's the area is becoming renowned for. All in all, a superb cottage in a stunning location.

The cottage was ideal for a relaxing break and set in an idyllic village location with a great walk along the river. Shame it was summer as I would have loved to have used the log burner. Great facilities and very comfy and cosy bed.
Would definitely recommend.
