“Warm and welcoming”
Reviewed 6 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

We stayed in the lovely Tinkley cottage and awoke every morning to the sound of cooing doves. The cottage is beautifully decorated, warm and cosy when the weather closes in but also light and airy and it has a well appointed kitchen.
Anne and David were perfect hosts - a short walk away for advice about the local area and very accommodating of our changing schedule.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying in Tinkley and will return.

“So relaxing”
Reviewed 3 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We had a four night stay over bank holiday weekend. It was a lovely base to see a beautiful part of the country.
We were greeted by the owners who were lovely and at hand if we needed anything.
The 2 bed 2 bath Tinkley cottage was fab everything you could need including a BBQ and use of a washer and dryer which was shared with the other two cottages.
There is the rose & Crown Pub less than a 2 minute walk away which we highly recommend.

“Perfect wedding base”
Reviewed 28 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

My family (of 8) stayed in the three cottages (Tinkley plus Nympy and Tump) for 3 nights over my wedding weekend - our wedding took place in the village church and our reception was held at Kingscote Barn.

These gorgeous cottages proved to be the perfect base for me and my family - getting ready with my bridesmaids in Nympy on the morning of the wedding was a joy, and Tinkley (the biggest cottage) was a great size when we all wanted to get together.

Each cottage is immaculately and stylishly furnished and decorated whilst keeping all the beautiful original features. Loved the woodburners, the beams, the underfloor heating, the skylights, the clever use of chicken wire... the chickens themselves were fun to watch too!

We would recommend the cottages to anyone, wedding party or otherwise, and would return in a heartbeat - we just need to find an excuse to take us there! Huge thanks to the lovely owner Anne, and her family, for making us so welcome and our stay so memorable.

“Beautiful cottage, perfect base for exploring”
Reviewed 19 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

What a lovely cottage this is! When we arrived David the owner gave us a warm welcome and left us to it assuring us he would be around if we needed anything. There was tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits along with a pint of milk in the kitchen which was much appreciated after our three hour journey.
The cottage itself is beautiful; clean, cosy, airy and with all the mod cons needed. The beds were super comfy and the bath is superb. The sofas and beds were very comfortable and we had a travel cot provided for our baby so didn't need to bring one. Our dog was very comfy too if a little confused by the chickens! The washer dryer was also came in useful as we were unprepared for all the wet weather and much easier than a launderette.
Nailsworth, the nearest town is great (especially if looking for fabric and haberdashery!). We also managed trips to Berkeley castle, Cattle country(for the kids) and the Forets of Dean. Coaley Viewpoint, Uley Bury and Woodchester Mansion are three very local must visits.
All in all a perfect family friendly property, we didn't want to leave and shall definitely return.

“A peaceful base for exploring the beautiful area”
Reviewed 23 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We have just returned from a wonderful week away, staying at Tinkley Cottage. The pictures on the website really do not do the place justice! The cottage is a beautiful conversion which, although modern, has many quirky features: including a wood-burning stove. The specification is top notch. In addition, the cottage sits in a quiet, largely undiscovered corner of England away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

The location is ideal - away from the main routes but close enough to explore the local area. We particularly enjoyed visiting Berkeley Castle (only a few miles away) and there are some lovely eateries in nearby Nailsworth. Also, the Rose and Crown in Nympsfield is only a short stroll away and we really enjoyed the food there. However, we mostly ate in and found the facilities in the cottage to be ideal.

Very modern kitchen and bathroom and we all slept so well too - the beds are incredibly comfortable.

The WiFi is EXCELLENT

Anne and her family couldn't have been more welcoming and it was a really pleasant touch to see the chicken roaming around the farm during the day.

Very good value and we are already thinking of coming again soon!

Just a couple of things to suggest:
The website says that a bag of logs for the wood-burner is included, but we were charged £5. This is understandable but the website does need updating.
The television is very small and sound quality not great (especially for two pensioners!) so we would recommend upgrading that at some point.

Thank you once again!
