Bosco's was recommended to us by the owner of a lovely little coffee shop on a previous visit to Derrylin last April. We had been hoping to get back and sample it since. We had one previous failed attempt when we arrived to find it closed. (Note for anyone planning to visit Bosco's it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays). Last Friday we made a second and I am glad to say successful visit. When we arrived there was a few in the queue in the chipper (always a good sign) but our order was taken quickly and efficiently by a lovely member of staff. The premises itself is spotlessly clean. A gentleman (Bosco?) was working away behind the counter but still took the time to acknowledge us and chatted to the locals who came and went. The amount of phone orders coming in bears testament to the popularity of Bosco's. Our order was ready promptly and I was very impressed with the staff recognising the fact that we were not locals and asking if we wanted salt/vinegar and forks, despite being extremely busy. We had the fish and chips and a burger. The batter on the fish was just beautiful. It was light and crispy and delicious and the chips were gorgeous and plentiful. All in all very impressed with our visit to Bosco's. Staff were just brilliant.
