We had a fantastic time at the Royal Kruger Lodge and would highly recommend to anybody thinking of staying near the National Park. The rooms were lovely, the atmosphere around the lodge was friendly and vibrant and the service was outstanding!

Julia the chef makes amazing food and we couldnt wait to find out what was on the menu each night!

It was a pleasure spending time with the game rangers (Chase, Rick and Robert). They were all extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what they do.

We had the privledge of meeting Vic (an awesome guy, which helps you see past the fact that he supports Man United) and his lovely daughter Amber who created a lively and welcoming ambience around the lodge.

We have only been back home for a week and are already missing Royal Kruger. Can't wait to go back!!!

Thanks so much for your great review. I was fantastic meeting you both and really enjoyed the laughs......and the Springboks. Hope the rest of your stay in South Africa went well also.

Rick really enjoyed the fact you stayed with us also. Being the only Everton supporter in Marloth, it was nice to see he had a little company, albeit only for a few days :).

Hopefully we get to see you again in the not too distant future. Be sure to look for specials on Trip Advisor or write to me diect. I will customise a special package for you. Please tell your friends also.

Many thanks again and all the best for 2014.

Vic and the RKL Team.

Well for starters, I fell in love with South Africa.. with the help of the friendly awesome staff at Royal Kruger Lodge. We purchased a voucher through Living Social which was a bargain price! Highly recommend it.

My mother and I traveled in August and we had the BEST time! Warm welcome from the get go, we got transfers from the airport and our driver Sam was great.
The food was delicious by the lovely chef Julia and girls, please send our regards :) and to Harris who helped me try to get the Zebras to come, unfortunately I missed them every time as I was out on tours - maybe next time!
The rooms were clean, beds were comfy especially after the breath taking safari game drives with one of the best guides, Eagle Eyes Rob. The bathrooms were great, especially the outdoor shower - loved it!
I could go on forever, nothing to complain about except the fact we had to leave.
Thank you to all the staff!

I visited this lodge July 2013 with my partner and 3 other friends/family members. That was winther locally. Apart from cold mornings (just dress accordingly) it was a fantastic 5 day stay. I and my partner were back in Joburg for a local summer/December trip to include Vic Falls and Cape Town, and when I contqacted the lodge for a quick Kruger visit for 2 other family memebers we brought this time, they had 3 open nights despite holiday season. We were quickly booked. The two others had a great stay, as well as us. We went to see other parts of Kruger on the game drives, and it was different with another season, so we fully enjoyed. Meaning fully recommendable. The service, room quality and food was the same top level we remembered. Still had animals coming to our doorstep, and plenty around the lodge to get into the safari feeling. Very reasonably priced bar, and helpful staff for any arrangements. The super customeroriented owner was present as well when we were there, for additional insight and fun! Thanks to the staff. My first TA report, but it felt right as we chose to return to the lodge. Seems also in line with the TA award they have earned. If you drive from Joburg, make sure to stop halfway at Millys for great food, next to the road. Relaxing place as well.

We had such an amazing time as part of our honeymoon stop at Royal Kruger Lodge. We felt so welcomed from the beginning. A bottle of complimentary champagne to celebrate our special occasion with dinner. The staff were amazing and accommodating to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

We participated in as many safari tours offered within the five day stay. Our tour guide could spot a dime from a mile away which allowed us to witness the big 5 and many other animals and birds. Our most memorable would have to be the night safari which ended with a bush braai under the stars. It was just an amazing experience.

Thank you Vic, Leanne, Ric, Chase and the staff for making our stay one of our best experiences.

Hi guys,

So glad you enjoyed your trip and that we helped make your honeymoon very special for you. It was great meeting you and we really enjoyed the laughs together. At least you survived the Bush Walk and the Bush Dinner in the Kruger......something to tell your kids in the future :).

Hopefully we will see you again some time and wish you all the best for a long and happy life together.

Take care and best wishes from us all.

Although we'd bought our trip on Groupon, we experienced top class accommodation, tours, food and staff attention from the moment we arrived. One of our best stays anywhere in the world. Vic, Leanne, Sean were welcoming and caring: Julia's food was amazing with 'surprising' desserts, Rick and Cliff were excellent guides. GO! You won't regret it!

Room Tip: Most rooms looked out onto cleared lawn, ready for zebra or warthog visitors...amazing!
