We needed a break away from the hustle and bustle of Gauteng and we found Needles Lodge and experienced tranquility and the fantastic hospitality of Denis & Phil. They went out of their way to cater for our vegetarian needs and to also make sure that they still prepared exciting, delicious meals whilst also paying very particular attention to our "likes" and "dislikes". Denis & Phil are great hosts who made us feel at home in no time at all. Keep up the great hospitality and your attention to detail. Thank you for a really wonderful stay.

Have just spent new year with Dennis, Phil , and the lovely staff at needles, it was a great to relax and chill, Dennis ensures this happens! Would recommend this designation to any one who wants to visit the area, from the arrival to departure ,if it is within their power to make your stay any more enjoyable they will. We shall most definitely return, if only to see Harold!

We recently visited from New Zealand for our honeymoon.Everything about our time at Needles was amazing, the food, the people, the game drives, the accomodation. Denis and Phil are genuinely passionate about what they do and are fantastic hosts. We had a great guide on the drives, not only did we see the big 5 three times in one day but his knowledge of all species was inspiring. We look forward to sharing their piece of paradise with them again soon!!

It seems unbelievable to encounter luxury and comfort in the wild side of Africa. Though, Needles Lodge is the best to provide you with what you need for a wonderful stay near Kruger park in South Africa. The lodge has such a charm that you wish never check out once there. With Denis, the boss, jokes never stop . Phil, beautiful woman, is the humble Irish Queen. And the rest of the staff are so nice.

In brief, at Needles Lodge, you eat good; you sleep well; and see plenty of wild animals while setting at the table.

Difficult to know where to start. Fantastic natural setting in the bush with wildlife all around (warthog, zebra, baboon, bush baby, bats etc), Wonderful hospitality (Denis & Phil are great company) and lovely food with allergies catered for (one friend is gluten intollerant). Beautiful rooms and an overall relaxed atmosphere. Just a short distance to the Kruger National Park so full day game drives from the lodge are easy. There are local tracks for running & mountain biking so there are great opportunities to actually get into the bush. The trip was all too short and I'll definitely stay there during my next visit to South Africa - can't wait.

Room Tip: I didn't see every room but of the one's I saw they were all of the same very high standard...

Our trip was truly memorable. The lodge is set in a spectaclur location, nestled away amongst the wild life. The staff were friendly and efficient. We have never had the opportunity to hand feed wild animals like that befor. We look forword to visiting again one day soon.

Wow, what can I say. From the minute we arrived the service was unbelievable. Our surroundings were overwhelming (zebra, kudu, wildebeest, warthogs & bush babies all around needles). The food was delicious and very accommodating of my garlic allergy! The game drives were awesome, we saw the big 5 three times in one day! Our guide was the best around! Denis and Phil are fantastic entertainers & we would go back in a heartbeat. We miss it all already.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great. The pool is handy to for those hot days :-)
