“A place to relax with friends”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

We had some friends visit us the other day and as the weather wasn't very good we decided to pop up to the Lands of Loyal mid afternoon for a drink . Even though we weren't having food we were welcomed with the usual friendliness before being shown to our seats beside the fire. This was the first time that our friends had been to the Lands of Loyal and I know that it wont be their last.

Arranged a surprise landmark birthday dinner for my wife together with friends and family. I could not have picked a better location as everyone was so friendly, nothing was too much trouble, the service was fantastic and the menu was extensive as well as being personalised to reflect the occasion. As for the food itself it was absolutely fabulous. If anyone is considering a family gathering in relaxing surroundings then I strongly recommend you enquire with Lands of Loyal Hotel. We also stayed the evening and are already looking forward to returning.

superb meal with matching service - would strongly recommend anyone seeking a rarity of large quantities of quality food. Unlike many fine dining establishments whereby the space on the plate is greater than the food helping itself, this is good quality food, well presented and thoughtfully combined

Room Tip: While we did not stay at the hotel, for any resident I would recommend using the restaurant

The hotel is straight out of a movie with an old country house with a beautiful roaring log fire and a massive staircase in the centre of the room. Absolutely gorgeous. Words cannot describe. The food - both evening meal and breakfast was to die for. The staff could not do enough for you and treat you like royalty.

Stayed here for two nights and cannot emphasise just how brilliant it was. Food, rooms, staff (Ethan special mention). They just could not do enough. Would highly recommend. The choice for breakfast unbelievable. Decor unique, rooms beautiful , facilities modern. On arrival our bags were taken to our rooms so check in was easy.

We attended a birthday dinner at the Hotel last night and it was superb. For the group of 30 the choice of food was suitable for all tastes and a wide selection of each course. We enjoyed a dinning room to ourselves.
This hotel is now back in the ownership of the Howell family and is as good as it was for my daughter's wedding several years ago. Nothing is too much trouble and the efficient but calming influence is so subtle.
The hotel was extremely busy with another 2 Dinning rooms full of guests.
The lounge area with a huge log burning fire is so welcoming and this has to be seen to be believed with the panelling and wide stairs.

Room Tip: I stayed here a number of years ago and all the bedrooms were so comfortable .

Visited for a meal. The staff were friendly, polite and courteous at all times. Nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant and bar have a wonderful and welcoming atmosphere in a building which is attractive and full of Highland charm.

The food quality is excellent, at the prices charged it should be BUT there is no scrimping on portion size you get a good plate full. The meat we wonderfully cooked and almost melted in your mouth and the veg was just right. The puddings were equally as good.

This is certainly not a place to go and trough something down, but for a special treat it is ideal. The food is pricey but it is worth every penny and the service from all the staff was excellent.
