“Comfortable & relaxed stay with good access to Lyme Regis”
Reviewed 21 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

This little cottage is every bit as comfortable and well cared-for as other reviews have described and we would happily stay there again. A half-hour walk to the seafront at Lyme Regis may not sound super-convenient, but it's pretty flat and a doddle compared to the hills in Lyme itself, so give it a go. The Black Dog is a lovely cafe two minutes drive towards town, and the local pub is only ten minutes walk along the river path.

Thanks for coming to stay and glad you enjoyed the walk into Lyme. We're fortunate to be situated on the popular East Devon Way, a lovely walk into town right outside your doorstep and a great excuse to leave the car behind.

“Brilliant holiday”
Reviewed 11 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

After staying here in 2015, we decided to return and stay in the same cottage.
Once again it did not disappoint!

The cottage is extremely well kept, very comfortable, and in a perfect location.
Plenty to do in the surrounding area, and only 5 minutes drive from Lyme Regis

Definitely would visit again!

“Lovely little hideaway”

Thoughtful details provided throughout including bed linen, towels, tea towels as well as the more unexpected fresh tulips, eggs, bread and bottle of wine to welcome our arrival! Rose popped round when we got there and gave helpful directions to the local shop (10 min river walk one way) and Lyme (25-30min river walk the other way) - bring wellies at this time of year!. Location was great, really easy to get onto the main Charmouth road for Lyme car park and travel further afield. The cottage was small but very cosy and well furnished - the only slight distraction from tranquillity was the "knocking" noise coming from next door at various times of afternoon/evening but overall a great stay and we'd happily go back to both the area and Little Roost.

“A wonderful place for two in a lovely location”

The Little Roost is an attached cottage, perfect for a couple, done-up beautifully: the internal space is well exploited and all the details are just perfect, with good taste and good workmanship all around. It even has a terrace for those warm summer evenings and a car-port, very useful as the road very is narrow. Even more beautiful is the location: you can walk down to Lyme Regis in 25 minutes, following the old Dorset path, and so avoid the complexities of having to drive there. The walk goes, from just outside the cottage, along the river Lym in the middle of a beautiful forest. A corner of Paradise.
