we were invited to a pre arranged party for approx 80 people , i can honestley say ive never had such bad food , soup arrived cold , roast potatoes ( well i think thats what they were supposed to be ) were rock hard and cracked , looked like they were from the previous day and kept warm with a heat lamp for 24hrs , sweet was a chocolate afair that you could still taste the powder sachet in ...........even the "after eight" sustitute was a plastic "chemical" tasting chocolate .........all topped of by the waitress telling us to "pass the empty glasses down so she didnt spill things on people" , shame hotel looked inside like it was refurbed recently

Lovely staff, clean and comfortable room, good facilities and a great location to explore North Wales. Food was OK, menu got a bit monotonous after 4 nights, but good wholesome food with decent portions. On the whole, very happy with our stay and would stay again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel are quieter.

We had room 56 this time we stayed. It was very large but not used to best advantage I feel. Large king size bed made by pushing 2 singles together which was fine but only 1 side had bedside cabinet also TV was on the dressing table to the side so you may get a stiff neck watching it whilst laying down.

1st morning the breakfast was full buffet continental and full English as there was a football team staying and students. The 2nd morning was a served cooked breakfast if wanted together with buffet continental breakfast.

There was a wedding party on the 2nd night we stayed. This did cause a bit of a mix up with our table reservation for that evening as they also had a party of students staying. They did apologise profusely and gave us a nice bottle of Pinot Noir at the house wine price (£10 off). Also even though we could hear the wedding party it did not disturb us.

The pool and Sauna was very welcome after a day walking round Liverpool.

The reason for staying at the Springfield hotel was for my husband and I to learn to swim.
The swimming course was brilliant and successful!! (we've been to a swimming pool locally twice in a week since our return home)
The hotel was good, our room could have done with updating but was very clean. The staff were all very pleasant without exception. The food was plentiful but basic.
The price we paid for the course and the hotel was good value for money

My main objective of staying here with a friend, was to learn to swim. This was achieved with Steve the patient and entertaining coach. With only 5 in the group there was plenty of one to one instruction.
My room was warm, very clean and spacious with all required facilities. The bed was comfortable and although the room was at the back of the hotel overlooking the bins,it wasn't too noisy. The bar, foyer and conservatory were pleasant enough and the pool was lovely and warm. Changing room was a bit cold but the showers were excellent. Breakfasts were very good, plenty of choice of both hot and cold foods. Other snacks and meals were a bit hit and miss, some good, some average but mostly edible with generous portions. The staff were without exception, very good humoured, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. All in all a very good week.

Room Tip: Room 7 pleasant and spacious twin room at back of hotel, minimal noise from bins, deliveries etc but n...

A wonderful few days and the staff could not have been more helpful. Excellent value for a family room and the use of the spa/health club was invaluable and the kids loved the pool. Great gym! Great location for the coast and Snowdonia with key sites never for than 45 mins to 1 hr away. So handy as close to the A55. Breakfast was first rate and we had 2 great meals in the restaurant. Very good 2/3 course package, wine and drinks very reasonably priced. First class!

Room Tip: Family room was great VFM!

My wife booked a suprise weekend away at this establishment. She read the reviews, particularly about the food.
She was looking forward to a soak in the jaquzzi. Alas there was no jaquzzi. A bit unusal for a health/spa.
I was looking forward to the food and maybe a pint of real ale.
Oh how we were both to be dissappointed.

When we booked in we were asked if we would be eating in the Restuarant. Having read good reviews we happily booked a table. On coming into the bar we were shown to the "conservatory" more commonly know as a corridor. We were shown to a table that had neither a table cloth nor condiments. This conservatory was a corridor between the swimming pool on one side and the car park on the other. Had it had been light we would have had an excellent view of vehicles coming into and leaving the car park. However we decided to carry on. I asked if they had any real ale. Oh yes, said the helpful chappie. It's not a blond is it,I enquired. No, says the chappie. It was!! And not very nice either. My wife and I ordered salmon sald as a starter. The hellpful chappie went on his way only to return and say," the chefs sorry but he's run out of salmon". Amazing as there was no sign of anyone else in the"corridor". Frankly the food was of poor quality.

The rest of the stay was ok. But again at breakfast I has to ask for condiments. Then a butter knive for my toast.
On the next morning the break had to be ordered, previously it was selfserve buffet style. Were still enjoying our cereals when the waitress appeared and plonked down our full English. Leaving barely any room on the table. Shortly after we left. Sorry to say we won't be going back there in a hurry.
