We were FREEZING after walking back from the snow monkeys in the middle of a minor snow storm and found this place. Delicious soba noodles, dipping sauce and oh man what an egg. You have to order it seperately from the noodles but it is worth it.

We had lunch here both days we stayed in the area: fantastic soba noodles and tempura in an unassuming roadside diner but delicious and friendly service, including complimentary sweet apples on departure. An authentic delicious experience, free wifi and outrageously cheap.

You can enjoy the great light taste of Kansai-style warm buckwheat. Combination of 10 percent cold buckwheat and buckwheat soup Koikuchi distilled in kelp Rausu is excellent .Rausu-an is a soba restaurant with a taste of the best class in Japan. It is a great place to warm the cold body after you have visited the Monkey Park.It is very close from the bus stop back to Nagano.!! Highly recommended.
