“Chalet not up to scratch, but the staff were great.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 March 2013 via mobile

Chalet de L'Arc is a medium-to-large sized chalet, and was well suited to our large group of 17: the dining room and lounge area were spacious and accommodating. However, the chalet as a whole is not up to standard. The rooms we had were smaller than expected, far too dark and the furnishings were tired. The boot room was very small and disturbed the adjacent bedrooms. Despite this however, we had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday due to the great skiing area/conditions and the fantastic chalet staff. Charlie the chef's food was fantastic and he was very helpful in accommodating our parties dietary requirements. The chalet girls Kath and Charlotte were friendly, bubbly and always willing to help. Sophie the housekeeper was lovely and worked hard to make the rooms look as good as they could.

While I don't think I would return to the chalet itself, unless major renevations were carried out, I would certainly holiday with Inghams again due to the high quality of their staff.

The chalet is great for the slopes and it has a great big dining room that was great for our large group of 26. But the rooms were small no room for our suitcases, No lights in the bathroom. cigarette burns on our blanckets on the bed. The handrail on the stairs was hanging off,the bootroom too small and too noisy for the rooms next to it. Inghams were useless and the rep gave out very little information and was very disinterested in her job.I would not go back unless all these things were put right and not with iNGHAMS

Just returned from a great weeks skiing in Les Arcs - no thanks to Inghams!
Difficult to see how this chalet merits a four star rating. The pictures on the Inghams website do not give a realistic impression at all. The rooms are incredibly dark - the bathroom is lit purely by two very small lights above the mirror and the bedroom by two lamps at the head of the beds.
Food was very average - evening meals all served in small bowls and breakfasts served on small tea plates??
Boot and ski rooms are not heated.
The banister rail mentioned in a review dated 01/01/13 has still not been repaired.
There is no shower curtain in the bathrooms so it is not possible to shower.
The Inghams reps were hopeless. The transfer from the airport was a nightmare - the coach was not sufficient for the number of persons travelling and the amount of luggage and the rep appeared to mess up ararnging an onward coach for persons staying at another hotel. A debacle which involved people being told to get off the coach to await another, which after nearly an hour didnt turn up so they were then told to get back on the coach..... the rep then proceeded to do a "head count" after asking the people in the front seat how many passengers there were when we set out.......
The rep that visited the chalet although pleasant enough was also next to useless.
On a positive note, the chalet is well positioned for the slopes and the ski area is great.
The chalet girls and chef were all very pleasant and friendly.
I would certainly never book through Inghams again and would advise anyone else against it.

Tiny bedrooms with no storage. Terrible lighting, almost need a torch in the bathroom! Dirty old blankets on the beds. No boot room, no boot warmers. One two seater bench for thirty people to sit and get ski boots on. Very down at heel. Even the banister rail on stairs was snapped off. No idea why it is graded as 4 star. Definitely one to be avoided.
