We recently stayed for a most enjoyable week. Mother and daughter team are very good and love to laugh .Nemo the head waiter is so helpful and the daily " half board" menu is consistently good with more than enough to eat and delicious seafood . The Bosco wine is excellent but go steady on the 17 percent non-no red ! Although the mother did offer the services of Stefano the barman to carry my wife to her room if she had a drop too many !!!! The 360 degree view of 100 acres of Olive trees around the hotel is beautiful and there are great paths in the Olive groves for jogging or strolling . The tour of the Olive oil factory and winery was very informative . We found the service excellent from all the staff who were friendly and helpful . The pool is very clean and big enough for a proper swim ( swimming hats are worn by all ) . The bar is unusual and nice to have draught cold beer - music played from about 4 pm ( perhaps a few more CDs would add to the experience ) .

Just spent 3 nights at their annexe Strazzati (there was no room at the Bosco) and the rooms were actually nicer than the Bosco. Had one dinner at the Bosco which was OK. The staff are extra friendly- they all seemed to know my name within 1 hour. I very much liked the laid back atmosphere and would stay here again. If you are a very demanding traveller, I'm not sure this would be for you. It's not a 4 Seasons or Mandarin Oriental kind of place- more for the independent go with the flow traveller.

Pushed very strongly by Long Travel for its food and location. Alas didn't live up to expectations (due in the main to a very overbearing head waiter and formulaic eating arrangements which we and fellow guests found detracted from the whole property ambience and eating experience overall). Our room was at Masseria Bosco (annexe to the main hotel). Bar and reception permanently closed despite it being late June and therefore in season so couldn't even get a beer to drink on your veranda.

Evening meals were taken outside under plastic awning by main building. Starters always lifeless with meat cuts curling at edges, salad limp and clearly been prepared hours in advance. Main courses forgettable - lacking in flavour. There were a couple of very tasty desserts. Service painfully slow. Once you managed to wrestle a wine list of the head waiter, there some really wines to be had.

We have travelled extensively throughout Europe and Italy in particular and know what good, local food should taste like. This was not it. During our one week stay, both us and two other couples we met, opted to stay elsewhere for a couple of nights to escape the monotony and un-pleasurable dining experience - despite having already paid for meals and accommodation. In summary - never again.

This lovingly restored stone Masseria or farmhouse is amid olive groves in a very peaceful setting. The grounds have been thoughtfully laid out to provide attractive amenities with a stunning pool and plenty of outside seating to eat and relax. The staff did everything they could to make our stay there feel special and there was a really friendly atmosphere to the place. Our room, simply furnished, was attractive with a vaulted stone ceiling.
Half board meant we were very well fed with daily special recommendations from our helpful waiter. We found that as a result that we did not need any lunch! Much of the food is grown locally some of it on the estate.
The local beaches are worth visiting, though in early October when we were there, the facilities were closed, but we enjoyed the peace. The nearby towns of Lecce and Gallipoli are both interesting places to go, however, this end of Puglia is very poor and driving along the potholed roads can very challenging , as is trying to negotiate the narrow streets of the local towns and villages. Often road signs are wrong or non existent.
We would thoroughly recommend this lovely place.

Wonderful food.
Wonderful Long Travel for recommending and arranging. ( Even our anniversary cake was wonderful!! )

Would certainly recommend this "hotel".

Room Tip: Would recommend the deluxe rooms in Masseria Strazzati.

We stayed here for 12 days in mid September 2013. Had a great time with very good facilities, very friendly and professional staff. Good for local sandy beaches and cultural centres like Lecce. Converted farmhouse, set in 100,000 olive trees. Half-board menu changes every night - we didn't eat out once! Well organised by Long Travel. You need a car. British Airways Club to Bari is good timing.

This masseria has a fantastic pool, great rooms full of character and lovely and helpful staff. The breakfast selection is adequate rather than special but evening meals are superb, but be warned the half board option includes 4 courses, we only ordered 3 after the first evening. As other reviewers have suggested there is not a lot to do in the area but Lecce and Gallipoli are worth a half day visit each. We asked about a tour of the olive and wine production plants and along with 18 other guests had an interesting 2 hour guided tour, in English and German. The locally produced wines were all good partners for dinner.
