This was my second visit and my brothers third visit. Such a beautiful little cottage in a stunning setting, right at the foot of the Moelwyn mountains but still only 10 mins walk to 2 pubs which serve great food. You want for nothing it is so well kitted out and the owners are so friendly. Just 10 mins from Harlech beach, Zip World and Ffestiniog steam railway it is so central. Highly recommended and we will be back!
The Coach House is so comfortable and cosy with every amenity taken care of and spotlessly clean. The directions to the property was clear and easy to follow and is set in stunning countryside. We met Marie who was very welcoming and suggested various places to visit but let you to it if that is what you wanted. We spent our days discovering the area (although we knew Conwy pretty well) and the gorgeous weather helped. There's plenty to see and do in the area and fell in love with the Welsh countryside. We'd highly recommend the Coach House.
We arrived late evening with our toddler to this lovely cottage. The key safe was useful so we didn't need to bother the owners. We were impressed with how cosy and well equipped the cottage was. We didn't have the best weather over the weekend but we made the most of the surrounding area, it was a great base to explore. The owners were very helpful and easy to communicate with. Wifi worked very well. Children's books and toys were made available, as well as a highchair, change mat and travel cot. Easy to see why this place has won awards. We would recommend it to family and friends.
We had a great stay at the Coach House with our two young children. The cottage is very well equipped and family-friendly too, with plenty of toys and all the baby accessories one might need. We also found it to be perfectly located for exploring Snowdonia, with easy access (i.e., < 30 mins drive) to the many outdoors activities available. Marie gave us a very warm welcome and made us feel right at home upon arrival. Would highly recommend!!
The Coach House is equipped with everything that could be needed in a holiday let, from the excellent beds to the Denby crockery. The setting is great and handy for all the sites to visit from lovely beaches to dramatic castles and steam trains.
Portmadog is interesting but for a lovely, quiet beach and excellent eateries, I would recommend Borthy Gest about a mile away. The colourful houses are reminiscent of Tobermory in Scotland.
Harlech Castle is worth a visit as is Criccieth, Portmeirion and the Ffestiniog Railway.
Choose a goog day, weatherwise, to go up Snowdon.
The cottage is comfortable and so well equipped, a real home from home. It is a short drive from many of the local attractions and towns. There are several restaurants nearby if you can't face cooking but if you prefer to stay in the kitchen is so well equipped. The cottage has a garden table and chairs if you wish to sit out of an evening and take in the peace and quiet, views and listed to the local wildlife (bats and owls!) I can't praise it highly enough and a warm welcome from Marie and nothing is too much trouble. Would thoroughly recommend it and would love to stay again.
Beautiful and very well equipped cottage. Relatively remote position & not too close to the neighbouring house. Short drive to most attractions with the longest being 1 hours drive away - Lanberis - Swondon.
We had the best time ever here & would come again even though the weather was not kind to us the cosy cottage was so lovely we didn't mind staying in. The owners were very helpful too.
