It all depends on what you’re after. If you are Dutch, you may be disappointed because there is no spa. If you are sporty, you may miss a pool or a gym. If you are a “lad” you will look in vain for a dart board.
However, if you love all things Italian, the place has a fantastic restaurant and very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are modern, clean and well maintained. The countryside location is beautiful and peaceful. There was a wedding on while we were there and the hotel really knows how to make it special (although we were not disturbed). The building itself is a former Manor House and the conversions have been very sympathetically carried out.
Two things to look out for:
Camerino is closed because of the earthquake damage and I don’t see it being open anytime soon.
If you are looking for an Anglo-Saxon heart attack on a plate breakfast, go somewhere else. Here, the fare is strictly Italian caffeine and sugar rush.
Would I use it again if in the area?
