It's the third time I've stayed in this snug little house on its very own bay. The cottage is like a ship on the sandy, tidal lake -- a short kayak trip from the crashing ocean beach at Hemeons Head, and along a strip of land protected by the Nature Conservancy. I could watch the changing waters, and birds overhead, all day. Cool mists for evening walks and sun-heated swimming in the deep salt water pools of the "lake" are both amazing. This area is so beautiful -- rural and wild, yet a short drive from the town of Lockeport and the beautiful harbor of Shelburne, and the long sand beach at Louis Head.
