“Protestant History!”
Review of Danish Fort

Danish Fort
Reviewed 8 October 2017 via mobile

A must visit for history buffs n an absolute visit for Protestant , very scenic spots , a few ancient relics on display , a lot of history n an absolute eye opener about a person who came and learnt the language and translated the Bible! A very old church also worth visiting, an absolute no miss

This is a very badly maintained 16th century fort built by the Danes. There is a small entrance fee. The museum inside is pathetic and many of the artifacts are rotting in the hands of those in charge of this monument. Sadly this is the most important monument that draws tourists to this place. Very sad state of affairs.

Dutch Fort, one of the good heritage structure to visit in Tranquebar. Kids will have lot of take away memories from museum. Well maintained lawn inside the fort gives a fresh feel to the whole development.

It's small and nothing much to see. No history mentioned and museum inside is worthless. It has been recently painted pink, so it does not look like it is a 400 year old fort. It is a disappointment to call it a fort.
