Description: As one of Niagara's first winery restaurants and a forerunner of Niagara's flourishing wine and culinary scene, we offer cuisine featuring ingredients from local purveyors prepared by an internationally trained team of chefs led by Executive Chef Justin Downes. Guests dine indoors in the renovated 1845 farmhouse or outdoors under the new shade sails. Wherever you are seated, you will take in the views of rolling vineyards, the forests of the Niagara Escarpment and Lake Ontario and Toronto in the distance. The Restaurant is open for Lunch and Dinner.

We had a table outside with a wonderful view overlooking vineyards. Two of us had the 3 course set lunch for 35 CAD which was very good. Shrimp bisque, pork tenderloin and a sort of lemon meringue for dessert. The other 2 had the a la carte which was also excellent. The wine came from their estate and we drank a very acceptable pino grigio. I was very impressed as both still and sparkling water were free. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We were dropped off here by helicopter for lunch after a trip from Toronto and over Niagara Falls. The food was pretty good but the restaurant lacked style and atmosphere which let it down slightly. The wines were good and we bought a case of red to bring back to the UK which happily survived the flight! Having been to beautiful vineyards with super stylish restaurants in Nappa and France this one was a little lacking overall.

We had a lunch and atmosphere is very nice, nice vineyard view from restaurant, food is excellent.
Only thing bothered us is too many flies. It is kind of difficult to enjoy lunch when flies are all over your face and foods.

Overall, I would give this restaurant an average rating for dinner as it didn't meet our standards for a fine dining experience. It was our first time here & we chose this restaurant to end an enjoyable day trip in Grimsby. We ordered the cornish hen & rack of lamb with wine. Although the dish presentation was pretty with adequate portions & tasty, I found my cornish hen meal a little bit too salty. My husband enjoyed his lamb. I would expect given the limited number of main dishes on the menu and its pricey expense, each dish should be made very well if not to perfection. I found the service to be novice & average as well. We made reservations beforehand and requested an outside table on the patio. I was disappointed when the hostess guided us to a table with an obstructed view of the vineyard (there were 2 tractors right beside & in front of us) even though we were the only couple on the patio at the time. It was 6:30pm with very few patrons ...I have no idea why we were given that particular table--we ended up moving ourselves to another one with a more scenic view. Not the best way to start a dinner experience.... it just didn't feel like the special evening it was intended to be. Given everything, we would not return to this restaurant.

We have eaten here a number of times and always enjoyed the location and the food. The "tasting" menu was expensive but very good. The view from the restaurant over the vineyards to Lake Ontario is one of the high points. The Winery and Vineyard itself are extremely attractive.
