A trip to higashimokoto pink moss phloxes is a must if you are here around end May.
The hills are awash in shades of pink, fuschia , lilac and white.
A sight to behold.
Plan to spend a few hours walking through the trails to capture the views and photograph this amazing
sight.
You can sit and enjoy a light lunch and continue to take in this beautiful scenery.

Mid-end may is the best time to soak in the sights of the beautiful shibazakura flowers. Coming from takinoue park, we initially wanted to skip this place as we thought it couldnt get better. We were so wrong. Higashimokoto was massive and absolutely stunning! Unlike takinoue park where u pay directly from your car, Higashimokoto requires you to buy the entrance tickets from the admission booths (500¥). Plenty of parking was available as well.

Within the park, there are many stalls selling quick bites. You can even hop on a quick go kart ride (5 minutes for about 300¥) or even take a helicopter ride. For those too lazy or unable to climb to the very top of the park, you can choose to take the park’s inhouse shuttle for about 300¥ as well. In my humble opinion, the view is well worth it. The pink toji gates made for unique pictures too!

Definitely make some time for this park if you are here in the shibazakura season! It is for sure one of the best of its kind (:

We went there in mid May and it was the perfect season for it. The thunderstorm had just cleared and it turned sunny so we were real lucky! If you like this kind of neverending purple slopes, go for it! It's quite phenomenal indeed. We had fun walking up the slopes!

Spend around 30-60 minutes there.

Amazing views of hills planted with pink moss; what a sight to behold. At the entrance of the park, there are stalls selling food and vending machines are also designed according to the surrounding!

Wasted trip - the pink moss are all there but wet and flat...because of the rain , the park is free for all. Nevertheless we got some photos of the park..so remember check the weather before making the trip and also the season May to early June to catch the blooms.would havd given excellent if not for the weather!
