I booked through Japan Powder (excellent tour company to book with btw!), I was after affordable hotel with good location and they recommended hotel Chalet. The rooms a extremely clean and tidy , worn out furnishing but this didn't really matter. The bed was a bit too hard too sleep however it is advertised as japanese bed which generally means hard mattress (apparently good for u back). I received every day new hot water thermo and green tea with biscuit which was excellent. After exhausting day it was really nice to come back and find hot water for tea. The bed got done every second day but the rubbish and hot water was done daily. The breakfast was eggs with ham or sausages, yogurt, bread and small bowl of salad with tea or coffee. One morning I req Japanese breakfast which was nice (rice, fried salmon, prickles, miso soup and rice, mental note that u cannot have coffee with this option unless perhaps req one day prior. The location is excellent , next to Gorya ski lifts which connects to Hakuba 47 as well. As a nightlife there isn't anything to do however I often found myself at Aqua Alpine Hotel for dinner and wine (wine list there is amazing and prices a affordable). Highly recommended ! Overall I was really happy with the accommodation and the staff was really nice and helpful. Ski gear I was able to leave downstairs where it would be dry by the morning. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone who is looking for affordable hotel with good location.
