We stayed for a week during peak snow season in a twin room with a bathroom. The facilities were clean and pretty spacious for Japan, with plenty of room for all our stuff and a deep bath/shower.
There was airconditioning (that we didn't use) and heating (which we did use), super warm blankets really comfy beds.
Breakfast in the morning is fairly rudimentary (cereal, juice, toast, tea and coffee) but there's plenty. Make sure you're on time, especially on a powder day!
Staff were super helpful with booking additional accomodation (we wanted to stay an additional day but they were full), recommending mountains each day, and helping with other attractions in the area. They speak fabulous English and Japanese.
It's walking distance from a convenience store, and a longer walk from a supermarket if you're eating on a budget.
Probably best to take ear plugs if you go during uni holidays - the only downside to our trip, not being party animals ourselves, was a big group of rowdy guests who would get in late at night after drinking and make a lot of noise.
