We were located on top floor, peaceful and quiet. The staff was 200% helpful they knew the area, they helped us get to where we wanted, Suggested places to eat and go even went out of the way to reserve us seats. The staff had all the answers we needed and help us plan our days. The rooms were just right not small normal Japanese but nice normal western room. we had buffet breakfast. It had good facilties vending machine, laundry room, there own Onsen female and Males in separate onsens and rooms. Buses to most major Ski resorts stop at the front if they don''t then the Info center is only 3 minutes walk from the front door. The hotel is 5-10 minute walk from the nearest Happo one lift, the gondola is about 15 - 20 minutes walk.

its a must hotel if your looking for great service and facilities. highly recomended

Room Tip: get rooms on the top Floor if possible.

Centrally located, the Hakuba Springs Hotel is just a short walk from Happo-One's Nakiyama lifts as well as the information centre, which has regular shuttle buses to the other Hakuba ski fields. There are also a plethora of bars and restaurants, just a short stroll away. The rooms and beds were comfortable and the LCD was enormous. The Onsen was the perfect way to soak the weary bones after long days on the slopes. Reception staff were friendly and went above and beyond in helping us organise snow monkey tours and other various day trips. Extremely pleased we made the decision to stay here and will definitely be returning here again.

We stayed here in mid January for a week on the top floor in a junior suite (3 adults) and found the hotel to be comfortable and quiet, nestled in the middle of Happo village, a 5 min walk from the information centre. The room was comfortable, clean and had a great view of the surrounding mountains although the bathroom was small (and oddly up a huge step - it seemed to be a pre-fabricated room?) and the WiFi exceptionally slow (tip: the laptops in the foyer are hooked up to much faster internet so if you get frustrated, head down there!). Having it's own on site onsen was a pleasure I indulged in every day after skiing and having our own ski lockers and dry room meant that our gear was stored and safe for the following day. The staff really make this place great. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, always ready with the information we needed - it made everything easy. The hotel is relatively close to the gondola compared to other accomodation we have stayed in before but with all your gear it becomes quite a trek so I recommend the shorter walk to the info centre where you can get a bus (sounds lazy, I know, but after a couple of days on the slopes walking up the hill with skis and boots it starts to burn!). Breakfast was good with standard items rotated throughout our stay (pastries, toast, fruit, bacon, eggs, sausages + Japanese style breakast). Free book and dvd rentals from the front desk meant that our off days were very relaxing. All in all a very pleasant stay in Hakuba.

Room Tip: Ask for a mountain view! These are only on one side of the hotel and make waking up every day a plea...

Very nice hotel in the heart of Hakuba. Close to the Happo Info centre where all the buses depart from to the various skifields. We found it too far from the Happo Gondola, not a pleasant walk. The staff are very tentative to your needs and love to help, very friendly. Rooms are comfortable and quiet but we found having to virtually climb into the bathroom a right pain in the you know where, especially after a hard days skiing. Still this is a nice place to stay and I would recommend it.

Stayed here for just over a week. It really does live up to the reviews. The hotel is comfortable, well equipped and well located. Being centrally located means you never have far to walk to get to restaurants , shops etc.The onsen was fantastic and a real treat. The best part of the stay though was the staff, they were superb and we can't say enough about how helpful they were. Can't wait to come back.

Great hotel to come back to and relax after a day out on the slopes with the onsen available to all hotel guests.
Rooms were spacious (bathrooms were quite small) and well kept.
Approximately a 5 minute walk up to the Adam Gondola on Happo-one.
The internet was poor in the hotel rooms but better down in the lobby and sleep quality was disturbed by the occupants on the floor above stomping around in the morning, so get the 4th floor if you can.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.

My wife and I stayed for a week over new years and had a great time. the hotel staff were superb, booking restaurants, taking us to those restaurants in the snow storm, taking us and our bags to the bus terminals, getting train times, providing adapters free of charge, they were really great.

The rooms are big in terms of Japanese hotel rooms and the bathrooms, although small, have an excellent powerful shower (there was no fancy Japanese toilet seat gadgets though). The double bed was huge but the pillows not very comfortable (very hard pillows). The onsen was a great facility and always very clean.

The breakfast was the same each day but covered the bases for a weeks holiday, cereals, scrambled egg, bacon, sausage, toast, tea/coffee etc.

The pub next door (jacks) lacked a little character but huddled up around the wood fire with a liter of Asahi you wouldn't notice, they often ran out of glasses and of wine.

Location to the hill, its a good 10-15 minute ski boot walk to the gondola up hill but coming back you pass enough bars and coffee shops to take a break, def no ski in/out access as the roads are kept clear of all snow. there is a bus right outside that takes you to Hakuba 47 but check the times. The information centre where the other resort buses leave from is a 5 minute walk.

The ski rental opposite (spicy's) gave us 20% discount for staying in the Springs and Spicys is available in every ski resort at Hakuba and we managed to rent a helmet in Itawake and return to the Happo One store no issues. loads of places to eat around the hotel but note a lot take last tables at 9pm.

We have already recommended Springs to two other couples.
