I've stayed at the Mominoki a couple of times over the last few years. First off: this is a more 'Japanese-style' ski resort, so if you are not used to that, some of the features may surprise. The positives: an amazing tatami room and futons are very comfortable after a hard day skiing, and the onsen is cozy and very welcoming. Also, the location (right next to Hakuba Happone ski resort) is pretty tough to beat. A hidden plus is the Barn, probably the best pub location in Hakuba (also has concerts and raves sometimes), so if you're looking for a bit of nightlife, there's that too. The one downside is the restaurant/food options aren't great.
