“Room amenities shows age”
Reviewed 9 March 2014 via mobile

I had a western/japanese mixed room. The wooden floor was cooling but shows obvious age of the hotel. Unless you are accustomed to hard mattress, you shouldn't try the japanese tatami with futon. Besides, you have to setup the futon bed yourself. The beds were okay though.

To access the bathroom, I had to step into a kitchen-like room before opening a plastic sliding door. There's a handwash ontop of the loo; that water is collected for the next flush. For brushing teeth, there's a sink out in the kitchen-like room.

I call it the kitchen-like room as there were kitchen cabinets, a hot-plate, and a water kettle. No other cooking amenities.

The balcony offers a nice seaview. Sadly the pool downstairs was closed as it was off season.

Breakfast buffet was nice with plenty of cooked foods and salad to choose from. I like to have my omelette fried a la minute, although I didn't like to queue for it..haha!

The hotel lobby and ground floor were recently nicely renovated. I hope they plan to do so to the rooms and corridors. Have I mentioned that corridors to the rooms had seaview too but were OUTDOORS? Yes imagine the very strong and cold February winds blowing in from the sea...brrrrrrrrrr.

Last but not the least, the hotel has a decent public bath. The type which has male and female guests separated; naked bath. Please please please bring your towels from the room and scrub yourself real clean before slowing entering the hot waters. Surprisingly, after the soak, that walk along thr corridor didn't seem so cold *thumbs up*

We have been there in August 2013 with 5 kids and we have enjoyed it very much. It is clean and has very good service. It has an excellent swimming pool and a buffet restaurant with a good choice of dishes. Breakfast is particularly good for both Asian and western taste.
It obviously has some signs of decay. Maintenance is not very accurate but it msut not be easy in a marine environment.
I cannot judge the price as i have no comparison. Obviously it is not cheap but we are talking about a tropical location in Japan...

It's just your average resort hotel, same old. It's good for space, we stayed in a family room with plenty of space, with a nice balcony where you can overlook the Okinawan sea, the breakfast and dinner was also good, you can eat sukiyaki and all sorts, this place is more for families rather than a couple, since it offers a lot of activities within the hotel for children.

We stayed here after spending the day at Ocean Expo Park. The room had a beautiful view of the ocean and was furnished with a love seat facing the view. We had a deluxe twin Japanese/Western style room, with two twin beds, a tatami area, small kitchenette, and full bath. The beds were comfortable, though a bit hard, but after a full day at the park and aquarium, we were so tired that we slept well. The bathroom had a bidet and a nice deep tub. The sink area was outside of the bathroom, next to the kitchen area. Our stay included breakfast, which was a buffet offering many choices from eggs and fruit to soup and salad. Everything we ate was delicious. Be aware that they are undergoing some renovations now, so the entrance was rerouted, but there were people there to guide us to the check-in area. Everyone was very helpful and able to adequately communicate with us, though we knew no Japanese. Our stay was short, so we did not use the pool or gym, but both looked nice. The location is extremely convenient to the Aquarium. If I were to travel to this area again, I would not hesitate to return.

Stayed overnight to visit Churaumi Aquarium the next day. Check-in was smooth. Room size was above Japanese standards. Had room with 4 beds and tatami room for futton. View from the room was ok but not special. Enjoyed dinner buffet in the restaurant which was kind of feast for the kids. A lot chocolate deserts. Then later in the evening we suffered from a lot of noise from vending machine area next to our room. Even noise from room above u. Rooms are for sure not very soundproof. After sleeping not so well we had breakfast which was good. Overall the satisfaction from the price we paid stayed below expectation. Next time will look for a different place to stay.

Room Tip: Avoid a room near a vending machine area

We stayed here for 2 nights. Room was very large for the 2 of us. It can easily accommodate 4 adults and maybe 2 small children with the two double beds, two futon sets (sleep on tatami floor) and a small loveseat. We tried to sleep on the tatami floor the first night - too uncomfortable as I prefer softer beds. Second night, we tried the beds; it was too firm for my comfort too. The "kitchenette" was sparse; one electric burner, mini refrigerator, one water kettle, 4 drinking glasses and 4 tea cups (no cookware of dinnerware). View is spectacular - has a small balcony. It was helpful to have a clothesline on the balcony and in the bathroom to air dry our wet clothes. We did not use the indoor or outdoor pool but it appeared pretty busy with children during our stay. The onsen (aka public bath) was initially hard to locate on the property - more signage would have been helpful (by the way, majority of signs and posters are not in English) - although staff are more than willing to help you navigate through questions. The onsen was of average size; very clean and equipped with hair dryer, hair brush, lotions, shampoo, body wash and conditioner; users must bring their towels from their room. I was quite disappointed with the water temperature of the onsen - at best lukewarm instead of the traditional hot temperature soaking bath I am familiar with in Japan. Location is good; walk to souvenir store is steps away. The Churaumi aquarium is literally minutes away. While here, we could not find a walking access to the beach though. Due to the close proximity to the ocean, one can see salt water deterioration on the building; overall, the staff keep the premises and rooms very clean. We dined in their buffet restaurant 4 times - loved the food selection and very attentive restaurant staff. We would consider staying here again.

Room Tip: Depending on the location of your room, elevators can be very a far walk - request accordingly.

I stayed there in July on our annual company trip to Japan. More than an hour outside the city centre, the exterior of the resort my look a bit old but from inside it gives a very warm feeling. I stayed in a double room which can easily accommodate a family of four. With facilities such Kitchenette attached to the room, it can be good place to stay with the family. Room was average and so as the breakfast. I didn't like to smokey smell in the room though. However the view of the ocean is simply breathtaking. Resort is attached to a small shopping area with a souvenir and convenient store. Biggest advantage, its just 5 minutes away from Ocean Park, which is a MUST visit attraction in Okinawa. It seems there are 5-Star hotel resorts in the area too which you should also explore if you don't speak Japanese and its first trip to Japan.

Room Tip: Ask for Ocean facing rooms.
