The good parts:
Very good value for money, amazing view from the room, as all rooms in the old building look out over the ocean. Decently clean public bath. The beach is pretty nice, with many fish swimming around! Lots to see right there. The staff were helpful, within the limitations of the place.
It smells horrible. Not in our room, fortunately, but the whole rest of the place was stale and musty, with a hint of powerful cleaning chemicals. It's an old building that needs refreshing. Breakfast was really, really, bad. Dinner a bit better, though. Their convenience store downstairs has nothing fresh (just junk-food snacks and cups of instant noodles), so that isn't an option either. Also, no lunch served anywhere in the hotel! There is supposed to be a "beach restaurant" on the ground floor, but it looked more or less permanently closed.
The location isn't great if you don't have a car. Maybe fine if you arrive as part of a large tour group that has its own transportation, but otherwise, be prepared for lots of taxi or bus rides to stay fed.
No noise from neighboring rooms, but the air conditioner made a lot of noise, and only the fan speed could be adjusted, not the temperature.
Also, no internet access available in the rooms (only spotty wi-fi available in the main lobby).More
