“Quaint but absolutely breathtaking....”
Reviewed 28 October 2012

The tricky drive by car up to the property was fun at night! The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, views from our room were beautiful. Service and attention to detail very good. Breakfast was continental but quite yummy...pity it wasnt warm enough to use the pool. Would definitely return here, quiet and serene surroundings, perfect for a couples getaway.

Room Tip: Every room is beautiful.

The hotel is beautifully located in a huge winery area and the view from the terrace is just breathtaking. The rooms are equipped with all a traveller need and are comfortable. This time I've had a Junior suite which was absolutely worth the money paid. The restaurant has a small card with a delicious selection and the huge wine cellar, has a good wine for every taste at stock.
The staff is very friendly and helpful and are really caring for the guests. If I'm in this area, this is always my preferred place to stay.

My husband and I recently spent 2 nights in a junior suite while on a 2 week tour of Italy. We stayed at 4 different properties in Piedmont and this one was definitely our best value for luxury and views. The suite was very large and fabulously furnished, the bathroom huge and beautifully appointed and the views from both sets of French doors were breathtaking. Breakfast was extra but very nicely done. The reception staff were also efficient and helpful. We had one of our evening meals in the villa's restaurant and the food, service and ambience could not be faulted. The restaurant's prices are also extremely reasonable. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: We had a junior suite on the top floor of the main villa which I would definitely request again.

We stayed for our honeymoon 3 nights in September, in the small side villa which was great and mostly quite private. The villa has 2 rooms I believe, and we could hear everything in the other room. Gorgeous views from the main building and our side villa and room. The breakfast is ok, but not a great value at all however. The restaurant is quite good, but not stellar, and they only serve their own wines (at least or the tasting menu), which was unfortunate. The location is great, not only for the vistas but also because Tiboldi is close to Asti, Bra, Alba, etc. The room itself was very nicely decorated. The bed was not great for sleep but ok. We had a lovely terrace outside and walked through the vineyards to the main building, which was fabulous. In all, I would recommend Villa Tiboldi - it is an overall great value.

Been here numerous times and still enjoy it.

Still a big secret - and we hope to keep it that way.

But if you love really good food and good wine - this is the place.

Villa Tiboldi, with all it´s friendliness - you can equally enjoy a glass of wine at the terasse, visit the cellar or dine at the restaurant.

If less accquinted to the area - you can get assistance of where to eat, where to have wine tastings - what to experience etc

But please - don´t tell anyone

We stayed at Villa Tiboldi for three nights and had a very good time. The Villa, the room and the views are really beautiful. You stay in the middle of the vinyards. The location of the village Canale is very good in Piemont: in the middle of Alba and Asti.
We also had a winetasting at the wine farm, wat was a very nice experience. The wines are a delight!
The service at reception, the young boy from the 'apperetivo bar and rest' and the ladies at the breakfast was very good. The overall restaurant service really should be better. They could make eating at such a beautiful spot, with that great food and wines, much more special by doing more than the necessarry.

Overall: spoil yourself and go to Villa Tiboldi!

We booked wine tasting at the winery and were met by a very nice girl who asked us where we were from? Norway, we answered. So am I, said Karen Thomsen. Very skilled and enthusiastic about the nice Arneis wines and the Nebbiolo! Mmmm:-)
Then we enjoyed, as the only guest, a nice lunch at Villa Tiboldi. Very good food and nice attention from the staff. The place looked very nice with a small pool and definitely a place to spend a few days of rest and peace.
