“Perfectly Pleasant Hotel”
Reviewed 13 July 2012

I stayed for a 2 night business trip in March 2012. The hotel was fine. Room was nice and clean. Staff were pleasant. I would have preferred to stay somewhere nearer shops. I got lifts and taxis everywhere, but my choice would be a hotel in a shopping district.

We recently stopped as part of Newmarkets Monets Garden & Rouen tour. The hotel was spacious and very clean with good sized rooms with plenty of storage space, comfortable beds, large bathroom with nice deep bath & good shower. We only stopped on a bed and breakfast basis which was a typical continental buffet of cereals, breads, cheese etc. but there was plenty available. The bar area was comfortable & drinks not too expensive by French standards. The staff were friendly & helpful.
The hotel is in a good location with the village centre a 5 minute walk away. In the village are 4 small restaurants, a brassiere, supermarket & pub so no problems getting a meal at night.
All in all an excellent hotel that i would go to again and highly recommend.

I have stayed here twice now. I have found the hotel clean, attractive looking and welcoming. It is a little out of Paris so not great for a Paris trip but location wise it is close to Versailles. Its a little out of the way of any main towns but the in the locale you can find a small shopping mall with a supermarket and Brasserie and surprisingly a pub behind the supermarket. Whilst some reviews found hotel bar prices to be on the high side, the pub was more expensive. There is very little in terms of restaurants around save for another hotel accross the road. Be prepared for this at the weekend as the hotel does not open the restaurant at weekends. Breakfast was sufficient for a continental breakfast and there is a large seating area in the bar with plenty of space. The only bug bear might be the hard bed, which of course is subjective. All in all a good 3 night stay hotel for touring the local area.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights as part of a coach tour and found the rooms to be very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was opened especially for us as it doesn't normally open at the weekend. Food and drink is pricy though - we found it to be better value in central Paris. The hotel location is way outside the city so not an ideal choice if you specifically want to visit Paris. On our first evening, we were unable to work the shower and a call to reception was all that was needed for prompt assistance. The following evening we returned to our room to find it had been made up with only one bath towel and, even more bizzare, two new wrapped tea bags had been left in the bathroom sink! Again, a call to reception and we were brought the needed extra towel. We didn't mention the tea bags - just too strange. Breakfast was fine for us but as we were a large coach party who had pre-booked, it was a shame that the dining room ran out of orange juice, coffee and bread - which affected those who were down to breakfast on the later sitting. In fact our coach driver himself located extra loaves in the kitchen and brought them out to the dining room - it seems the kitchen staff were holding them back for some reason. Actually, we enjoyed our stay overall we would happily return.

I would say it has been a good staying. My room was confortable, very clean, not huge but more than enough for a single room.
The parking is really confortable and free, right in front of the hotel and even the wireless internet connection if free... good point.
I had a dinner in the joint restaurant and it was normal, not really good: a bit ordinary. Served dishes were "crowded" : in the same steak dish they put : the steak , a salad , a small pot with chips and anotherone with a brown souce... there wans't neither the space to cut the steak. I think they should take care more of presentation.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was busy as we were on a coach tour which comprised of around 100 people but the staff did manage well under the circumstances. Good if you need to stay in the area but it is quite a way from Central Paris if that is where you want to be.

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear are quiter than those at the front.
