This place was extraordinarily amazing. Amazing location, view, service, room. I cant fault anything. The staff were exceptional. Very friendly, such a classy hotel. When we arrived the place was full of cloud with no view (which was also really cool!). In the morning for sunrise - you could see the alps from the bedroom window!! What a surprise!! The breakfast with views to the alps - exceptional. The food at dinner - exceptional. I was so sad to leave ;-( would love to go back. Cant recommend enough. Oh and not to mention the wildlife in the area and activities like tobogganing close by. I could go on and on and on..

We live in Lucerne & it was very nice to stay overnight on top of Pilatus with a perfect view down to the city & to the alps. In the evening it is very quiet, as most of the people stay only for a short daytime visit. The Room is well equipped & comfortable. For dinner in the historic "Speisesaal" we got a nice four-course meal. In the morning we got up early to watch the sun coming over the horizon & had time before breakfast to make a beautiful walk to Tomlinshorn, another mountaintop about 40 Minutes from Pilatus.

Me and my wife spent one night here during August 2013, it was unique experience. One of highlight of out trip to Swiss, its little bit expensive but 100% value to money.. We are basically from India, and the dinner was in Swiss style which we didn't like much.. But the hotel room was excellent, clean. Hotel staff were too professional.. We saw sunrise in the morning, unique experience.. Overall our trip was 100% full filled after a night stay on top of Mount Pilatus :)

Room Tip: If you are visiting Swiss, plan a night stay in hotel or a day on top of Mount Pilatus.

We spent one night at the top of Pilatus with our family. It was an expensive, but one-of-a-kind excellent experience. The dinner (one menu) was very nice and they had separate choices for our children. The hotel manager and staff were very pleasant. And they have a free cocktail hour which was very nice and welcoming. Staying atop the mountain definitely made our weekend experience so much more enjoying by coming up via the gondulas/hiking and going down via the cog railway and boat.

We spent one night on top of Pilatus at the Pilatus-Kulm hotel. It was a great experience. The hotel was renovated last year and the rooms are very stylish, yet traditional Swiss.
The dinner (only one menu available) was just ok, they try to be fancy but I prefer quality. The hotel director is new but seems to know his business well. He spends quite some time at the guests' tables, a behavior you cannot take for granted in times of tripadvisor and facebook. He told us to get up early to see the beautiful sunrise (around 6:30am in August) and we were not disappointed. Breakfast was of high quality and included a fantastic typical Swiss braided bread.

This hotel was special just even TRYING TO GET THERE! The Cogwheel train is exciting to travel whether or not you stay at the hotel. Once you get to the top, enjoying the incredible views and incredible incline, you're treated to even more breathtaking views from the pinnacle. My daughter and I arrived around 4:00 p.m. and the fog was rolling in. Even though that blocks your views, it's wonderful feeling enveloped by it. Our room was extraordinary. It's large, the bath is clean and spacious and the staff in the dining room were so personable. There is a cocktail hour (free with a 2 night stay, I believe) and we tried the local white wine and cheese which were yummy. It snowed and we enjoyed that from our 2nd floor windows. We rated the first of 2 meals here as the best in our 2 week stay in Europe. I took photos of all the food and we were treated to a creative delicious feast. After dinner, we explored and found a jazz group playing in the lobby. We met another couple who had enjoyed the dinner and visited with them for 3 hours! The next day we spent hours exploring the trails, sightseeing Kulm, stopping in at a butcher shop and buying some nibbles, taking the gondola, and going to the top of each of the area mountains to take breathtaking photos. It was quite cold having snowed the night before so we had to buy ski jackets. The weather app had said much milder temps....bring a jacket and layers! All in all, this was a highlight and I'd consider it a fabulous honeymoon destination. As for us, mother/daughter, we found it to be restful, athletic, sightseeing a must, delicious and wonderful.

Room Tip: There are two hotels and we staying at the historic one with a room facing downhill. Perfect.

Sometimes, one feels a lack of words for describing a few situations and this is one of them.
It is the perfect place, you can go with your special-one and you are bound to make them feel elated.
Prefer going in the right season,so that you don't have to bear a bad weather and then you shall be in for a surprise. The property is quite old,but has been done recently and the decors feel nice and rich.
The staff are jovial and very helpful, some even giving you very nice suggestions.
In the restaurant you can always ask the chef for the food to take care of your dietary needs and they shall be more than willing to do it without any complain!!!

The views are marvelous and the feeling atop a mountain is something worth witnessing. Price wise it is bit costly, but then get a good bargain and there is nothing to complain.
The activities in the hotel are limited, but the scenery outside is what makes this hotel beautiful.

This property shares certain spaces with another hotel, which I guess is cheaper by few bucks but then am not complaining either for my stay...:)

Absolutely delighted.
