Very relaxing time, hotel was lovely and clean, spacious room with large bathroom, and the food didn't disappoint either, service was abit slow due to a lack of staff but as there's nothing to do in Brechin there was no rush, 2nd morning there was no hot water but we were compensated for that, would l visit again yes l would.

Stayed here with 3 friends whilst on a golfing trip in the area.
The staff I dealt with were friendly and courteous.
Rooms were clean and comfortable and modern.
Although the shower was cold in the morning we found out during checkout that the hot water system had broken down that morning so not the hotels fault.
Evening meal in the hotel was fantastic with varied choices and good value for money. Breakfast was also very good.
Would have no hesitation in staying here again.

I couldn't give this place two stars, it wasn't that bad, but to say it was "average" might be a little generous, especially for the price. Service was adequate though they were seating patrons for staff convenience, not for patron experience. We were all stuffed into the same corner with some unruly children - poor discipline isn't the restaurant's fault, of course, but once that was obvious we thought that may have seated incoming patrons elsewhere.

My wife and I both had the fish special. It was decently sized but presented skin-on, skin-side-up, with all of the spices and sauce applied on top of the skin so the fish, once the skin was removed tasted pretty bland. The cous-cous accompaniment was very dry as if it had been sitting in a warming tray for too long - and it would have been nice to include something other than a sprinkling of dried parsley. Overall a rather lack-luster experience. I probably won't make it back there again this trip -- might try it again next year....

The staff were very friendly but there were in no way enough of them for our wedding party.
The hotel rooms were very clean and tidy but the beds were not comfortable and the rooms were also far too hot with no way of controlling the temperature but opening the window onto a noisy street.
The wedding itself was is a tiny room that was also far too hot and extremely cramped for only 40 guests. After this guests are made to wait around the reception area while the bridal party get photos done.
The meal was fine but no way worth £50 per head.
Once again the room that the wedding reception was held in was extremely hot and very uncomfortable.
There was not enough bar staff on hand and it took quite sometime for everyone to gets meals.
That being said we did have an excellent wedding but this was due to being with family and friends, rather than the venue.

Two Night stay whilst working on Aberdeen. A 45 minute drive into the city but would definitely use this hotel again for Aberdeen.
The rooms are spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated with free internet access.
Food in the restaurant is of a fantastic standard and very well priced (circa £10-£13). The Full Scottish Breakfast is superb but won't get you many plaudits from the medical establishment!

The hotel had a large private car park situated at the back of the hotel.

In general have no worries about staying here. Superb quality all round.

Stayed here mid-week and was very impressed by the friendly staff, quality room and tasty food in the restaurant. I would recommend this place over far more expensive corporate-type hotels that charge rip-off prices.
