Have just returned from a weeks stay here ,thought it was a very good site , harbour at one end cove at the other and walking distance to a small theme park\castle , we ate in the cafe on 2 occasions and the food was ok . the only downsides i have is they try to get to many people pitched bit like sardines in a tin when we were there and why do people with dogs let them urinate on peoples tents and awnings seen this happen 3 times ,

We are so glad we discovered this site.......it is beautiful!! We booked a week here and did not want to go home so we stayed for extra days, even then it was hard to leave. Jim and each and every one of the 'crew' work so hard and are extremely helpful, enthusiastic and friendly, they cannot do enough for you. We have never met people with such passion and pride in what they do every day. The site and facilities are always clean and tidy. Seeing the Dolphin was absolutely amazing and We couldnt keep the children off the water sports!! Infact, 'Watermouth cove Holiday park' is that fantastic, we have booked up for next year and are taking family members to share the experience. Cant wait......

We started our journey travelling to a VW show in isle of Wight, then new forest and after had a huge trek to north Devon in two old air-cooled campervans! Wasn't sure what to expect, but on booking, the staff, Viv, had been excellent and managed to get us a pitch together, despite late booking!
Well..... The drive was worth it! I didn't want to leave! This site has it just right, plenty to keep kids occupied, without ruining the natural beauty of the area. The views are incredible! You have a harbour, big sea cliffs, caves, backdrop of a castle! a lovely private cove/beach! Two swimming pools, and The dolphins in the bay just made it!
The toilets/showers are nice and clean, bar area good and staff couldn't be more helpful!
I can't recommend this site enough!

As previously said by others this is a clean well looked after site. There were 3 caravans and 1 tent in our party (7 adults/7kids. We were sited in a square facing each other which was fab. We also had the pleasure of seeing Dave the Dolphin which was an amazing experience and one none of us will forget. It was my birthday during our stay and whilst we were having birthday breakfast I was presented with birthday cookie and cream! The cove and caves were fantastic to explore. We hired kayaks which again was a one off experience. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The surrounding scenery is beautiful. Pools were a bit chilly at times but didn't stop us going in. The children are already asking to go again next year. We had a fantastic time.

What a perfect, lovely site - we were part of a group of 20 (9 adults & 11 children), and what a place to stay with our friends. Its all weather pitches are perfect for tents, so much quicker, drier and no mud or grass to be taken into the tents and easier for packing away - not that we wanted to leave!!

The staff are outstanding, Jim is amazing at his job - so friendly and helpful beyond belief. He is one of the main reasons for us rebooking for 2014.

We all enjoyed kayaking, paparazzi & double ringo rides - amazing value. Dave the dolphin was the best part for sure as he swam with our husbands out of the bay and back, the children all witnessed it - what a story to tell on the return to school.

Food on site in cafe was very good - tasty fish and excellent chips.

Swimming pool amused our children so well, and very safe.

The site was very clean, well maintained and always staff around for queries.

Highly recommended place!!!!

Knowing the area from a previous visit some years back we booked this last minute for a short break away as a family (ages 13 & 8).....and along with the fortunate weather during our stay, it turned out to be exactly what & where we needed to be !!.

Good venue, clean site with friendly staff, well located for things to do on site and in the surrounding areas. After being shown directly to our accommodation and having the facilities explained to us, we found everyone on site more than willing to help should it of been needed.

We booked a 1 bedroom chalet which was ideally located adjacent to the main attractions including the access to the cove for swimming, paddling or taking part in one of the numerous water sports offered by the team at Watermouth Cove (incl. kayak hire, jet-ski / sea-doo rides etc...although I think Jims new toy "Popparazzi" will be popular !!.).

There are also various headland walks for wildlife spotting, of which we had the pleasure of seeing "Dave the dolphin" in the wild, on site swimming pools, sheltered games tables, shop, café & bar etc. etc..

If you like the outdoors and being active the site has plenty to do including spending time in the swimming pool(s) & the sheltered cove, water sports etc., exploring the "secret" smugglers cove and rock pooling at low tide for crabs and other sea life. Plenty of peaceful places & rock pools if you know where to look, if you don't, just ask the team.

Just a short walk away from the main centre was the campsite which appeared to be well serviced with showers, toilets and all essential kids play area with a private "working" harbour just the other side of the camp site, making for a nice evening stroll.

We spent our days hunting pirates, crabbing, rock climbing, kayaking (where we saw the dolphin up close which is a memory that will last with us for a long time !!) as well as visiting the local towns at Combe Martin & Ilfracombe for more rock pooling & paddling in the sea and a walk round a traditional fishing harbour to go on one of the numerous available boat trips.

If I had to be objective, the only downside so I am told when we got back, was the pool was a bit chilly (although didn't stop them swimming in it) and that the sofa bed wasn't the most comfortable (although this didn't stop sleep arriving after a busy day !!).

All in all it was very relaxing fun filled few days at a great location where you were made to feel welcome with plenty to do. We have returned home with smiles all round...will definitely consider going back.

Thanks Guys.

Lovely site, very well organised with a nice touch of actually taking you to your pitch.Facilities great with Showers and Toilets regularly cleaned.Great location and perfect as a base to visit all the lovely places and beaches in the area. Its quite an early rising site but that was due to the amount of Children and the the time of year, im sure it is much quieter out of season.

Room Tip: Pay a bit extra and have a serviced pitch.
