After having two weeks away in beautiful devon where we visit every year camping.
We visited the ye old globe first for breakfast which was okay. We walked in a table of 9 people without booking and was the only table in. The food took a little while but was worth it because it filled us all up.
We decided to try it a couple of days later for tea. So we booked in this time only a table of 4 people.
This is were things went down hill. We ordered drinks and sat at our table. And ordered food. I ordered pork belly. And the people i was with a special pie. Lamb dish. And some veggie mushroom option.
The pork belly was one of the worst dishes iv every eaten. It came with two thin slices of pork belly grills. Crushed new potatos. And a liqure sauce. All of which lacked influence from a chef. Unseasoned with no flair what so ever.
There was one person on our table contemp with there food. The other three left still hungry and wishing we stuck to the breakfasts in the morning.
Such a shame lovely village pub with lack of ambition to provide the best quality food to match the building.
