“Lovely secluded bungalow with every amenity you could think off....”
Reviewed 20 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We returned from holidaying in Berrynarbor yesterday. As two couples travelling with our dogs and my daughter we spent a long time trying to find the right accommodation to suit our needs.

Well what can I say! The bungalow was immaculate. The kitchen better equipped than my own. The owners really have thought of everything.

If there were any negatives it was that we locked off the back garden as we were not convinced the dogs couldn't escape over the very far back corner if they really wanted to, but this really wasn't a problem as the front garden was totally enclosed and a good size. We supervised the dogs the whole time but really did not have to worry. The other problem was that the tin opener was a little tricky, but other than that we could not complain.

The wine, bread and scones with cream and jam went down well on arrival. The milk and teabags meant we could have a hot drink straight away.

The location of the bungalow meant a lovely walk each day to buy the paper and we found a lovely doggy exercise area in the village.

Berrynarbor is ideally located for exploring the area with a good choice of restaurants and shops in both Ilfracombe and Combe Martin.

I would happily stay here again and would recommend to anyone looking to visit the area to look no further than this accommodation.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review and we are so glad that you enjoyed your stay.

As dog owners we have made the gardens as secure as possible and the front garden has a separate fenced and gated dedicated dog area, but we would always recommend keeping a watchful eye when the dog is off the lead.

We have replaced the tin opener in the kitchen.

Once again many thanks for your wonderful comments and remember we offer returning guests a discount on all future stays.

“Absolutely fantastic holiday rental”
Reviewed 22 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Excellent holiday accommodation, 7 family members ranging in age from 9 to 70 had a wonderful holiday, so much a home from home everything catered for, cream tea, milk etc was a really nice welcoming touch after a long journey, beds were very comfortable, only couple of "problems" toilet seat doesn't stay up and a bath mat would have been welcome but we really had to find these "problems", garden bit steep but children still managed to play games etc, surfboards etc very useful, the area is beautiful, beaches not too far to travel to, would recommend this property will definitely be returning in the near future

Thank you for your feedback, we are very pleased to hear you had a lovely holiday and we try to make Parsons Pightle a home from home for our guests.

Guests feedback is very important to us and would like to say that we have attended to the "problem" toilet seat and would note that a bath matt was provided in the airing cupboard and we'll make future guests away of its location.

Thank you again and we look forward to welcoming you back to Parsons Pightle, as returning guests receive a discount on any future bookings.

“A fantastic home from home in a wonderful location”
Reviewed 18 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We stayed (a couple, two toddlers and my mother in law) for a week and would happily have moved in! This house is beautifully kept and has absolutely everything you could need for a holiday.
The house is all on one level, but does have three steep steps up to the front door, however access to the rear is by a ramp so is still very accessible for younger children or older people.
The kitchen has literally everything you could need, from full baking implements through to numerous spices etc for cooking. There was even some tea, coffee etc to get you through the first few days!
The owners left us a beautiful cream tea and this was a wonderful start to the holiday.
They also left milk, bread and squash which was such a thoughtful idea.
The property was very clean and tidy, and all rooms were well equipped and well maintained.
The garden was a little steeper than we had expected but the children (1 and 3) managed fine, and loved running around, and playing in the play area.
We had to contact the owners a couple of times, for recommendations and to ask for a bath mat, and they could not have been more helpful, resolving things very quickly and making excellent suggestions about where to go etc.
The area is beautiful and the property itself is in a quiet valley, which was very peaceful. There are lots of gorgeous beaches within close proximity and we enjoyed exploring and then coming back to our tranquil base.
Overall, as you can tell, we absolutely loved our time here and would love to come back.

“Perfect, they thought of everything.”
Reviewed 7 April 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Perfect place to stay. Everything was catered for. Owners thought of everything. The décor was immaculate, made us feel a bit nervous to start with as we had a 4 year old and a puppy with us but we soon relaxed. Our grandson loved the garden and play area. The cream tea the owners left for us was a fabulous touch and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Ye Olde Globe 17th century pub in village only a 5 minutes walk away where we had a lovely meal, would recommend. Would definitely stay at Parsons Pightle again.
