“Superb accommodation and countryside”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 October 2012

Five star plus B & B. Lovely Family - nothing too much trouble. Superb breakfast and room with wonderful view of the village and hills beyond. Great garden which can be viewed from the Conservatory. The village of Cononley is very unspoilt.

Room Tip: All the rooms are superb.

I have now stayed at Cononley Hall several times, the last time (so far) in December 2011 for a four-day visit. I love staying here. The big bedrooms, one with a four-poster, are really comfortable and have big modern bathrooms (lovely hot showers after a cold day out). Breakfasts are lavish, with a wide menu. The conservatory is a suntrap in summer but comfortable in winter, too. It is also good to be able to bring in a meal from the Chinese "take-away" in the village and eat it there in the conservatory if you don't want to eat at the "New Inn" just down the road or in Skipton. Pam and Andy are so welcoming and helpful and make me feel at home there. I know the village well, having had family there, so it is always a pleasure to stay at the Hall. So, thank you Pam and Andy, so far, and I'll see you next time . . .

Set in a quiet and picturesque town, this outstanding b&b provided fantastic service where nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were comfortable, clean and well appointed and the breakfast service was exemplary. Stunning gardens and surrounds which can be viewed from the conservatory where the ambience of the place can be enjoyed by all.

Having just returned from a weekend break at Cononley Hall, we want to say just how much we enjoyed our stay. The welcome from Pam on arrival was warm and genuine, nothing was too much trouble and we immediately felt at ease. Other members of her family reinforced this sense of spontaneous welcome. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and beautifully equipped but with little personal touches which added to the sense of homeliness. The dining room, conservatory and other areas of this gorgeous old house were all inviting, comfortable, and yet informal. Breakfasts were delicious and we particularly appreciated the selection of fresh soft fruit. All in all, this is absolutely one of the very best B&Bs in which we have stayed and we look forward to repeating the experience.

Thank you both very much for taking the time to write a review. Shame the weather wasn't great on the Saturday, - thankfully it didn't rain too hard on our parade!! (Cononley Gala). I hope you really enjoyed your walk on the Sunday. Look forward to seeing you both again for another (sunny!) weekend. Pam

I have stayed at Cononley Hall on several occasions, and it has never failed to delight. It is a jewel of a place situated in a tiny Yorkshire village, and both the Hall and the village are lovely. Pam and Andy are the perfect hosts - warm, friendly, welcoming, hospitable and prepared to go the second mile to make your stay as close to perfect as possible. The bedrooms are beautifully appointed, with great attention to the little details that change a stay from 'good' to 'really special'. From the White Company toiletries in the en suite, to the selection of fruit, biscuits and sweeties on the dresser, you do feel that you are being indulged. Breakfasts are generous and quality produce is cooked with care. You'll feel that you're having a great break even if it rains!

Room Tip: There is the option of a four poster bed if you book in time.

My wife and I have just spent a week at Cononley Hall as the start to a tour of the UK and Europe. We enjoyed the location, the accommodation and the hospitality so much that it almost seemed a pity to have to leave for the rest of our tour.
We are so grateful for the friendliness and attention that our hosts, Pam and Andy, gave so willingly and love the idea that we could come back some day.

Room Tip: Take the 4 poster if you have the chance
