“Booked a family room, my child's bed was just a mattress on the floor!”
Reviewed 30 August 2014

I booked a family room some days in advance for myself, wife and 12 year old. The room was on the first floor, yet the hotel has no lift so had to struggle up the stairs with a suitcase. The room was the usual clean Premier Inn style I've come to expect, yet I was suprised to find my child's bed was just a poor quality, hard sprung mattress on the floor! No warning was given by reception about this, but I was too tired too complain at the time. Needless to say, I have fully complained in their satifaction survey.

I recently stayed here with my partner on business. We arrived late at night, was checked in nice and quickly. Building is a bit like a maze, 1000 doors to get to your room. Once in our room we was pleasantly surprised. Old wooden beams going across the roof, a few steps leading up to the bathroom and a huge kingside bed! Fantastic. It was like stepping into another era, in a good way! We both slept fantastically! For anyone going to stay here ask for room 24! It'll be worth it :) we will be back!

Stopped over for a night and shared late afternoon and evening with a friend. The service was exceptional from reception, to the bar, the restaurant and breakfast - especially Donna.
The room was as expected - comfortable and clean. The food was good value as were the drinks.
An ideal stopover close to the M3.
