“Hound Heaven”
Reviewed 16 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay in this well equipped cottage. For our arrival we had asked Jennifer to prepare a meal for us, which we both enjoyed immensely, and we thought it represented good value for money. Apple crumble and the local ice cream were especially delicious! We were delighted with the amount of information about the local area which was available in the cottage and also the varied supply of books. My husband was ecstatic to discover a copy of Beachcomber edited by Richard Ingrams - holiday reading sorted! We would love to return next year having enjoyed the comforts of the cottage, the town of Innerleithen and the beautiful surrounding countryside.
Greyhound's Review:
Home made treats - yum ( won't be getting those at home!)
"I am on holiday" dog collar tag - excellent idea
Everything I could possibly want: bowls, blankets, and throws for the furniture. I brought my own duvet though and insisted on snoozing in front of the TV! I think dog beds and extra rugs are available on request.
Garden - felt very secure, fully enclosed small garden at the rear of the cottage.
Walks - brilliant riverside walk with the handsome Luke and his lovely family, so nice we did the same walk the next day.
Park- right outside the cottage , handy for short strolls morning and evening.
Rabbits- if you are into spotting rabbits Innerleithen is the place to be! Paws crossed we will be back next year.

Thank you so much!! We're delighted that you had a great time. Luke, our greyhound is over the moon too and tells us that he should take all the credit for the hound friendliness of the cottage! We're so pleased that you would like to come back :-D

“Home from home”
Reviewed 13 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We enjoyed a lovely weekend in Cosaig Cottage. Booking was easy and friendly. Everything went smoothly. The fresh fruit, flowers and basket of local produce were all lovely and we felt very welcome. The cottage had absolutely everything we could have needed and more. It was very clean and cosy and had a peaceful little garden at the back and pleasant view across the park to the front. We could have moved in and stayed for good! Being dog friendly was very important to us and we felt the dogs were very well catered for with their own homemade treats, holiday ID tags, special bowls, towels and blankets provided.

“Wonderful place to stay”
Reviewed 29 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Everything was there (and more)that was required for a wonderful self catering holiday. It was comfy and cosy. The welcome pack with the little extras was a nice little touch and very tasty. Dogs are made very welcome (but there are no smells of previous dogs, which we have found in other holiday accommodation) and our dogs enjoyed their holiday as much as us with all the freedom they got.

“A fantastic base for exploring the breathtaking Scottish Borders”
Reviewed 1 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Cosaig must be the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in. The kitchen especially had plentiful and varied crockery, new and efficient appliances, good system of waste and recycling management. Our family are interested in mountain biking, and there was adequate space for our bikes and all the equipment. The living room was cosy and inviting, and the children enjoyed a variety of DVD's, will games and a discreet stash of Lego under their bunk beds. We liked the books and the children especially liked the mountain biking magazines! The communication with Jennifer since the booking was great, prices, availability, directions, key codes etc. were clearly explained, emails quickly returned. We loved the welcome pack of essentials, local goodies and fruit. The home made flapjacks were an absolute lifesaver during our cycling trips! Cosaig is central to Innerleithen, yet very quiet and we all slept well in comfy beds and crisp bedlinen. There is a Co-op nearby as well as a few take-away places, we especially liked Saffron. Interesting places to visit, well stocked bike shops and friendly locals. This was a truly fantastic holiday and we are already thinking of coming back next year!

“Lovely cottage in a great location.”
Reviewed 23 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We stayed for a week with 2 kids and dog. The cottage suited us perfectly. Very comfortable with everything you could possibly need. We arrived to a bottle of Prosecco, local beer and juices in the fridge and a basket of goodies (including homemade treats for our dog). The cottage owner is super helpful and provides a level of friendly, helpful service you don't often see in the UK - nothing is too much trouble. We went horse riding, golfing and to Go Ape which is a couple of miles away. All great fun. Lots of lovely walks locally too. I'm sure we'll be back!

A great welcome to a lovely cottage in a very friendly little town.
The best welcome basket you could wish for with treats for people and dogs
One of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in and perfect for our two greyhounds with it's safe and secure garden and a lovely park in front. The cottage was spotless and comfortable and very well equipped. A lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. We will be back.
