This first class B & B can tempt you to be very selfish and not write a review because you want to ensure that accommodation is available next time you wish to visit. This, however, would be grossly unfair to Bill and Alison, who obviously have worked so hard to build up this absolute gem. The rooms are extremely well furnished and spotlessly clean. There is a well appointed sitting room with views over the garden and the Tweed valley. Bill's breakfasts are magnificent and the welcome you get from them is exemplary.
This guest house is well known by walkers, bikers and fishermen and the garage has been modified to ensure that bikes can be securely stored and wet clothing dried. However the general tourist should also consider Innerleithen and the borders and not just rush up the motorway to the highlands. There are the abbeys ruins aplenty in the Border towns, Jedburgh with it's association with Mary Queen of Scots, beautiful rolling hills, the river Tweed and you are only 40 mins drive from both Edinburgh and Glasgow. Both these cities are well worth a visit.
Wonderful accommodation, wonderful welcoming owners in a wonderful location. Bill and Alison, we will be back!More
